Make Your Village/Town/Place an International City of Peace ~ What is It? Continue Reading! ;>)

In the Netherlands, the Peace Palace is home to the international court of justice the permanent court of arbitration and The Hague Academy of International Law. Some cities have great icons of peace, but all cities and communities have a legacy of peace building that needs to be recognized and honored.

{ A note just for a more exacting word clarity, feel if this definition may reflect You witness still today. Let’s begin with the definition of “citizen”  which in tracking has connotation relating to :
“fealty” ~ In Fuedal law; Fidelity; allegiance to the feudal lord of the manor; the feudal obligation resting upon the tenant or vassal by which he was bound to be faithful and true to his lord, and render him obedience and service. ~ Black’s Law Dictionary, 4th edition with Guide to Pronunciation, 1951, Original copyright 1891.
Does this seem/feel/sound like any folks/situations You know.
It does not surprise me that the words: “people” & “person” have been twisted over the many decades far from the common humans usage; and the word “being’, and even the word”human”. do not even occur in Blacks Law. ;>)
Be alert to the words You read and choose to express and/or follow.   ~ L’iv }

An Association of Cities of Peace

International Cities of Peace is an association of citizens, (humans}, governments, and organizations who have by proclamation, resolution, or by citizen (human}, advocacy established their communities as official Cities of Peace. Every community has a legacy of peace, whether it is by a historical event or by a local peace heroes or group who has contributed to their citizenry’s (humanity}, safety, prosperity and quality of life.

The Idea of Cities of Peace
According to the only scholarly paper to date on Cities of Peace, “Idee und Geschichte der neuzeitlichen Friedensstadt,” written by scholar Peter van den Dungen,

the following are major categories for consideration as Cities of Peace.

Though many Cities of Peace are now being established by resolution or proclamation, or even through a community action campaign, this document shows that the City of Peace movement has deep roots. Published only in German, the following is a rough translation of Peter’s typology.

{ For the full website see: }

1. Cities where a particular war has been successfully concluded (through a peace treaty). Such cities may or may not officially declare themselves, then or later, a City of Peace. It may be the city itself, or its inhabitants, who initiate this process. Examples: Münster, Osnabrück, Dayton.

2. Cities which are the seats of international institutions which are significant for the maintenance of world peace. The city authorities in The Hague have declared their city a City of Peace, justice etc., but in Geneva (so far) such a denomination has been bestowed by citizens (human}, groups (only). Examples: Geneva, Den Haag.

3. Cities where important peace prizes are awarded/places where peace is being celebrated and honoured. Oslo is really the main city in this category, with a long and famous tradition because of the Nobel peace prize. Examples: Oslo, Frankfurt/M., Aachen.   {Although we must be aware that in instances the Nobel Peace awards sometimes are given to humans who take us into more wars!  So, do not believe all You are told.}

4. Cities which, having been destroyed in war, have used this tragedy to dedicate themselves to work for peace, with the focus being on either

– warning against nuclear weapons

– reconciliation

– tolerance and multicultural living

This is the largest category of peace cities. Examples: Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Osaka, Coventry, Gernika-Lumo, Ypern, Antwerpen.

5. Cities which have rediscovered and now are reconnecting with historical impulses from the past, especially the remembrance of a prominent historical figure born in (or associated with) the city, and who was a great peace advocate. This is to do with the nature, and construction, of historical memory. Traditionally, war heroes are remembered, but slowly the notion of peace heroes is making headway, and cities are rediscovering their peace history and tradition. Examples: Rotterdam (Erasmus), Atlanta (Martin Luther King, Jr.).

6. Cities where important peace institutions once existed, or which once hosted important peace conferences, and which are rediscovering their peace past, and now want to remember this and build on it (similar to 5). Example: Luzern.

7. Cities where important peace research or peace training institutions have been created (and which have not been significantly affected by wars or conflict). Examples: Stadtschlaining, Bradford.

8. Cities which have joined one or more important international peace organisations, and which are playing a significant role in them (these cities have not been significantly affected by wars or conflict). Example: Manchester.

9. Cities of practical peacemaking, in ethnically diverse and polarised environments. Examples: Le Chambon-sur-Lignon, Neve Shalom/Wahat Al-Salam, Philadelphia.

10. Cities which have given their name to important peace documents of one kind or another, but which up to now have not (yet) taken any initiative to build on this and become self-consciously a peace city (even though their name is associated with peace). Examples: Pugwash, Dartmouth, Göttingen, Talloires, Krefeld, Sevilla, Mohonk.

Please note that ‘cities’ occasionally also refers to villages, or more generally ‘places’. Stadtschlaining (7), Neve-Shalom (9), or Pugwash (10) are villages.

What makes my Heart Bloom?

Greetings Beloveds,
Just for today …
Consider setting aside an hour (though even 10 mins will do!)
to enter the silence, settle into center and listen to the space
between each breath.
As you do, ask yourself this question, inviting the answer to
come through, while being fully open to receiving:

What makes my Heart Bloom?

Another question might be:
What DreamSeeds are ready to activate within me?

or simply
What is my intention or vision for this 42 day journey?

Beloveds, these questions are one way to begin the journey, a
jumping off point, so to speak.  You may already have a specific
question or intention for this 42 Day journey – grow with this.
However you choose to begin is perfect for YOU.

Now, as you enter the silence of meditation and reflection,
imagine your question, or intention, is activating and awakening
a Dream Seed held at the center of your Being.

Let go and let your Dream Seed grow …
peacefully allowing visions and sensations to flow; inspiration and
revelations to rise; clarity and joy to BLOOM and grow inside.

With appreciation …

witness each image, sensation, emotion, vision or thought-stream
flowing, allowing this energy in motion to be experienced fully,
wholly and presently
knowing what is growing on is True for You

and is a direct-revelation through initiation of the activation of
Dream Seeds at the Heart of Love, at the Heart of YOU.

When complete with the meditation/activation session, give
yourself a few deep breaths with Thanks and Appreciation.
Allow space for integration and contemplation.

Record what comes thru, preferably in a journal dedicated to the
Blooming Humans experience.  Share, as inspired.

So, What is a Dream Seed?

A Dream Seed is a creation-capsule, designed to activate and
grow into unique-to-you dreams, visions or callings.    A  Source
Coded, Universal-yet-Personal container for expressing
impressions of Love, present in our Hearts, carried forward
for this moment in time and now activating, sparking and coming
to Life!

Remember, you are joined on this 42 Day journey by multitudes
across the face of Changing Mother Earth, too!  Our unified focus
creates a resonance field, as our collective intent opens the way for
life-affirming transformation.

By sharing a common vision and focus, we are calibrating and unifying
our Hearts, while maintaining a vibrant, creative space for integrating
the power-filled energies arriving Now.  WoW!

Just imagine what will happen as multitudes across the face of
creation activate their Dream Seeds, too: A Garden of Illuminated
Hearts … Unity … Peace … Thrive-ability … Just to name a few.

Who knows what will sprout and grow!

Remember, whatever visions, ideas, insights or feelings come
thru … is perfect for you.  Be gentle with the Self.  Trust and allow
the procession to unfold.  A seed does not become a Tree overnight,
it grows, blooms, and fruits in alignment with cyclic time.  True to
our own Divine Nature, there is no hurry or worry … rather a daily
journey revealing the Beauty of Being.

It is true for US … for our visions, intentions and DreamSeeds, too!
For this space of 42 days, we are here to provide a daily dose of
Love, Gratitude, nourishment and inspiration as you activate,
tender, bloom and harvest Dream Seed ready and present
at the Heart of YOU.

We’ve also set up a Facebook page to connect, share and record
the journey.  Please join us here:

Thank you for making the profound choice to begin.
We look forward to the journey ahead … and into our Hearts.

Here we grow, Beloveds… here we GROW!

Stacey Robyn
and the ground crew of Blooming Humans

With Love-filled Hearts, we give thanks.
It is so, and so it IS.
Blessed BE!

~ “KNOWING WHEN” is a control that understands, focuses, and transforms. ~

Article by Jamye Price.

Blessed Beings, you are at an exciting time in your evolution of beginning to work more directly with the subtle realms of creation. It is exhilarating and sometimes frustrating as you learn new rules of the physical and the mysterious non-physical.

First your mind dominates the process as you seek to define. That is a valuable and necessary functionality of the mind, but not as effective in the same way when dealing with the physical and non-physical realms.

To create more with the subtle realms, you learn different information and processes—such as thinking positively, Loving Life, and that you create your reality with your thoughts and feelings. There is truth within these and many ways to learn and implement these changes.

However, what must ultimately occur is an understanding of the non-physical in relation to the physical realm in which you live. That is to say that what you learn must apply to your physical realm to have value in your day-to-day life, otherwise it can become confusing and even harmful.

As you implement subtle changes in your perceptions, perspectives, choices, and actions, you integrate a new level of being human.

What often occurs is an intellectual understanding of some non-physical principles, while still continuing to live the rules of the physical realm. Thus the first instinct is to use positive thinking, Love, and creating your reality to control your feeling of safety in life.

To control your feeling of safety, there is often a mental patterning of right or wrong that gets applied instinctively. Your instincts work well for the physical realm. They are immediate, survival based, and effective. However, they do not apply in the same way as you work with your inherent non-physical creative abilities.

As you work with the non-physical realm, your safety shifts from your physical survival needs, into a balance with the deep understanding of your infinite safety within the flow of Life.

This begins a true integration of the duality of Life on Earth—which can not help but reflect your internal information to you. This balance of physical and non-physical can be taught informationally, supported with healing, but it can not be given to you from an outside source.

The Law of Resonance ensures that you either become that which you desire, or you only have effect in the physical world. In essence, you must change your internal world, your mental and emotional, your non-physical subtle self. This is “being the change you want to see in the world.”

This brings us to Knowing When.

To learn the rules of creation requires internal observation. You learn the principles of shaping your thoughts and emotions, but understand that it goes beyond controlling them. In essence, you are learning to control your inner world better. But rather than control that just restricts, it is a control that understands, focuses, and transforms.

You must transform your inner world for effective participation with the non-physical realms of creation. When your inner world becomes naturally connective, courageous in the face of humanity’s worst; that is when you are resonant with the Love that transforms.

That is different than a love that enables, avoids, or disregards the value of lesson learned for the future.

Knowing When to take action is one of the biggest challenges as you shift from physical focus into the true integration of the power of creating through (non-physical) Love. Action is how you ensure your physical survival in the physical realm. If you do not take it, you do not survive. The action of taking a step creates your path.

As you begin to implement using the power of Love to create, you are still in the physical realm that requires action. Yet creating from Love requires an internal action of observing beyond the obvious, trusting yourself, and trusting the flow of Life.

To be this, you must remain loving and open to Life, and patient with the flow of Time. This is “the peace that passes all understanding.” Rather than reacting out of survival fears, you transform the moment with a deep knowing beyond form.

 How do You know when?

Trust yourself more, for your biomechanism is perfect for this environment, both physical and non-physical.
Learn to listen to the heart more, for it is your instrument of courageous, Loving connection.
Calm the mind fears more, soothe them. Do not shove them aside, they speak to you of your survival fears that you must resolve in order to resonate at a different vibration. Trust Life more. It wants your thriving.

As you implement these internal changes, you will notice less fear and more trust. You will notice less need to control and more knowing all is well and improving. You will notice less confusion and more patience, even with the unknown future.

You will notice the clues of Life speaking to you of When by doors opening from your action and participation with Life.

You will appreciate doors closing, knowing your action and participation with Life has been valuable. You will worry less about the past and the future, and focus more into the now, where your creative power forms the future potentials.

As we sit to {Light} Blast “Knowing When”,
> we are observing our inner world and allowing fear and insecurity to be loved into wholeness by honoring the unknown.
> We are observing our personal experiences as the information of Life calling us to choose to Love the self into a new empowerment, affecting All Life.
> We are noticing the subtle changes in our feelings of peace in the face of adversity, as we recognize that fear is louder than Love because it knows it is not as strong.
> We are taking action first in the internal world, because we know it changes the reflection from the external world.

> We recognize the time to live Love is now.
Blast on!

Are You Cultivating Knowledge, or Just Consuming Information?

The internet could be a very positive step towards education, organization and participation in a meaningful society. –Noam Chomsky

{…OR NOT! The CHOICE is YOURS to DO or BE!}

Upon reading, ponder this…

–by Gregory Ciotti, syndicated from, May 04, 2015

Quality output
demands quality input.

As healthy food fuels the body, so does brain food fuel the mind. Garbage in, garbage out as they say.

Amidst the “sky is falling” debates over how TV and the Internet are making us mindless drones, this is the real issue to keep in mind — we need to be cultivate more than we consume.

It’s an important concept worthy of regular revisiting.

To begin, let’s explore a theatrical look on what is at stake when we don’t take our information diet as seriously as our nutritional diet.

Drowning in a
Sea of Irrelevance

Below is a visual adaptation of passages found in the book Amusing Ourselves to Death.

Comic: by the wonderfully talented Stuart McMillen, the artist who was also behind Supernormal Stimuli. You should subscribe to Stuart’s newsletter to hear about new comics he has coming out in 2014.

More Diving In,
Less Checking In

The principle of evaluating how we spend our time is sound, but the discussion these days often mirrors the prose above.

It is exaggerated, and more closely resembles a doomsday prediction than actual advice.

What’s left out is the fact that emerging technologies are a double-edged sword. Whether the internet is a mindless distraction or the greatest educational tool ever invented is all in how you use it.

To be clear, there is a real risk in “excessive passivity” — the habit of merely consuming information put in front of you, rather than actively cultivating knowledge in areas that are valuable to you.

But addressing this problem can be done in a much more pragmatic way. Consider it a habit audit, or an honest look at how you are spending your time.

In Steven Covey’s bestseller The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, he describes this as evaluating your Circle of Control vs. your Circle of Concern.

The idea is that you should be seeking out relevant, useful information that you will apply to your life far more often than you let random information interrupt you.

The Circle of Control is anything that relates directly to you; situations where you influence the outcome, like the skills you build, the projects you create, or the habits you engage in. Basically, information that improves how you spend your time.

It places emphasis on your attention as a valuable, limited resource, and something you should guard as such.

If you give it away freely, you may develop the “fear of missing out” that causes mindless interaction with information that isn’t relevant to you.

Consider the news. While trying to stay updated on current events is a noble goal for any citizen, think about what you give the news, and what it gives back — you give your attention, energy, time, and emotional reactions, all for information that you can rarely utilize.

What some scandalous politician did in a country you don’t even live in may creep into your Circle of Concern, draining your focus via an issue that you cannot use later in any meaningful way. Put simply, 99% of what you will see won’t matter to you.

Compare that to time spent cultivating knowledge on a topic you care about, or on a skill you wish to develop, and you can see that who and what you give your attention to has a significant impact on the type of person you become.

Understanding where your time is going is far more important and practical than demonizing TV, the Internet, or mainstream news.

Expanding Your
Circle of Control

The act of “cultivating” simply means getting past service-level information and building on education that goes beyond the basics.

When you say that you are going to expand your Circle of Control, what you really mean is that you’re going to reduce irrelevant information and spend more time exploring the depths of those topics relevant to you.

This can take place in a variety of ways:

   *  Improving job skills. The sentiment that education begins when school ends is one to not take lightly. Funny that we use terms like “investing” in reference to our time; when’s the last time you invested in developing the skills you use at work? It could become the single best investment in your portfolio.

   *  Experimenting with new interests. You can look at other people’s vacation photos on Facebook, or you could read How to Travel the World on $50 a Day and take the first step in planning that backpacking adventure you’ve put off. You can watch Shark Tank, or you could pick up a few business books.

   *  Creating more work/art. We’re all strapped for time. It’s often the case that the most productive thing you can do all day is say “No” to things that don’t matter. MIT professor Alan Lightman only checks email once every 3 months; imagine what you could create if you just said “No” to much smaller commitments.

   *  Getting intentional with your learning. The shocking truth is out: I still read the news. But I seek out my interests, I don’t just accept what’s on the front page. For instance, I always read Maria Konnikova’s fascinating coverage of the brain because it’s proven to consistently be in my wheelhouse.

Of course, not all information can (or should) have utility. My random binge sessions of watching The Office re-runs certainly can’t be passed off as “research” for some skill I’m developing.

What matters is I feel satisfied with where my time is being spent as a whole. That’s the most important takeaway of all — are you giving priority to your Circle of Control? Or is your Circle of Concern eating up too much of your attention?

This is why I think that the “news is bad for you” arguments are missing some context. Health and happiness are determined by how you spend your time overall. It’s the compounding interest that produces the biggest results, not individual swings.

Not watching the news but spending the resulting free time poorly is like not eating red meat, bragging about it, and then chowing down on 3 square cupcakes a day.

Whether your guilty pleasure is the news, celebrity gossip, stupid/silly TV shows, or whatever else, feel free to indulge once in a while just like you would with a snack — just make it a priority to evaluate and develop your Circle of Control.

How you “spend” your “time”

is how You do your Life,

so invest wisely.

Mosque Across the Street ~A Magnificent video of Human Family ~ Touch your Heart for 5 min

Leaders of a growing Muslim community in Memphis, Tennessee, wanted to build an Islamic center where they could gather not just to worship, but to host weddings and other parties; gather on weekends and holidays; house a day care for children; and have activities for the elderly. When they finally succeeded in purchasing a plot of land opposite a church, Dr. Bashir Shala, head of the board of trustees for the Memphis Islamic Center, expected hostility. “Memphis is the buckle of the Bible Belt,” Shala says. Pastor Steve Stone of Heartsong Church, had something else in mind.

Installation of LOVE on the HUMAN Computer. Get your copy or update now.

Install LOVE on the HUMAN Computer

Customer: I really need some help. After much consideration, I’ve decided to install LOVE. Can you guide me through the process?

Tech Support: Yes, I can help you. Are you ready to proceed?

Install Love on the Human Computer

Customer: Well, I’m not very technical, but I think I’m ready to install it now. What do I do?

Tech Support: The first step is to open your HEART. Have you located your HEART?

Customer: Yes, I have, but there are several other programs running right now. Is it okay to install while they are running?

Tech Support: What programs are running?

Customer: Let’s see… I have PAST-HURT.EXE, LOW-ESTEEM.EXE, GRUDGE.EXE, and RESENTMENT.EXE running now.

Tech Support: No problem. LOVE will gradually erase PAST-HURT.EXE from your current operating system. It may remain in your permanent memory, but it will no longer disrupt other programs. LOVE will eventually overwrite LOW-ESTEEM.EXE with a module of its own called HIGH-ESTEEM.EXE. However, you have to completely turn off GRUDGE.EXE and RESENTMENT.EXE. Those programs prevent LOVE from being properly installed. Can you turn those off?

Customer: I don’t know how to turn them off. Can you tell me how?

Tech Support: My pleasure. Go to your Start menu and invoke FORGIVENESS.EXE. Do this as many times as necessary until it’s erased the programs you don’t want.

Customer: Okay, now LOVE has started installing itself automatically. Is that normal?

Tech Support: Yes. You should receive a message that says it will stay installed for the life of your HEART. Do you see that message?

Customer: Yes, I do. Is it completely installed?

Tech Support: Yes, but remember that you have only the base program. You need to begin connecting to other HEARTs in order to get the upgrades.

Customer: Oops. I have an error message already. What should I do?

Tech Support: What does the message say?

Customer: It says, “ERROR 412-PROGRAM NOT RUN ON INTERNAL COMPONENTS.” What does that mean?

Tech Support: Don’t worry, that’s a common problem. It means that the LOVE program is set up to run on external HEARTs but has not yet been run on your HEART. It is one of those complicated programming things, but in non-technical terms it means you have to “LOVE” your own machine before it can “LOVE” others.

Customer: So what should I do?

Tech Support: Can you pull down the directory called “SELF-ACCEPTANCE”?

Customer: Yes, I have it.

Tech Support: Excellent. You’re getting good at this. Now, click on the following files and then copy them to the “MYHEART” directory: FORGIVE-SELF.DOC, REALIZE-WORTH.TXT, and ACKNOWLEDGE-LIMITATIONS.DOC. The system will overwrite any conflicting files and begin patching any faulty programming. Also, you need to delete SELF-CRITICISM.EXE from all directories, and then empty your recycle bin afterwards to make sure it is completely gone and never comes back.

Customer: Got it. Hey! My HEART is filling up with new files. SMILE.MP3 is playing on my monitor right now and it shows that PEACE.EXE, and CONTENTMENT.EXE are copying themselves all over my HEART. Is this normal?

Tech Support: Sometimes. For others it takes a while, but eventually everything gets downloaded at the proper time. So, LOVE is installed and running. You should be able to handle it from here. Ah, one more thing.

Customer: Yes?

Tech Support: LOVE is freeware. Be sure to give it and its various modules to everybody you meet. They will in turn share it with other people and they will return some similarly cool modules back to you.

Customer: I will! Thanks for your help!

Trees are Sanctuaries
by Herman Hess

“For me, trees have always been the most penetrating preachers. I revere them when they live in tribes and families, in forests and groves. And even more I revere them when they stand alone. They are like lonely persons. Not like hermits who have stolen away out of some weakness, but like great, solitary men, like Beethoven and Nietzsche. In their highest boughs the world rustles, their roots rest in infinity; but they do not lose themselves there, they struggle with all the force of their lives for one thing only: to fulfil themselves according to their own laws, to build up their own form, to represent themselves.

Nothing is holier, nothing is more exemplary than a beautiful, strong tree. When a tree is cut down and reveals its naked death-wound to the sun, one can read its whole history in the luminous, inscribed disk of its trunk: in the rings of its years, its scars, all the struggle, all the suffering, all the sickness, all the happiness and prosperity stand truly written, the narrow years and the luxurious years, the attacks withstood, the storms endured.
And every young farm boy knows that the hardest and noblest wood has the narrowest rings, that high on the mountains and in continuing danger the most indestructible, the strongest, the ideal trees grow.

Trees are sanctuaries. Whoever knows how to speak to them, whoever knows how to listen to them, can learn the truth. They do not preach learning and precepts, they preach, undeterred by particulars, the ancient law of life.

A tree says: A kernel is hidden in me, a spark, a thought, I am life from eternal life. The attempt and the risk that the eternal mother took with me is unique, unique the form and veins of my skin, unique the smallest play of leaves in my branches and the smallest scar on my bark. I was made to form and reveal the eternal in my smallest special detail.

A tree says: My strength is trust. I know nothing about my fathers, I know nothing about the thousand children that every year spring out of me. I live out the secret of my seed to the very end, and I care for nothing else. I trust that God is in me. I trust that my labor is holy. Out of this trust I live.

When we are stricken and cannot bear our lives any longer, then a tree has something to say to us: Be still! Be still! Look at me! Life is not easy, life is not difficult. Those are childish thoughts. Let God speak within you, and your thoughts will grow silent. You are anxious because your path leads away from mother and home. But every step and every day lead you back again to the mother. Home is neither here nor there. Home is within you, or home is nowhere at all.

A longing to wander tears my heart when I hear trees rustling in the wind at evening. If one listens to them silently for a long time, this longing reveals its kernel, its meaning. It is not so much a matter of escaping from one’s suffering, though it may seem to be so. It is a longing for home, for a memory of the mother, for new metaphors for life. It leads home. Every path leads homeward, every step is birth, every step is death, every grave is mother.

So the tree rustles in the evening, when we stand uneasy before our own childish thoughts: Trees have long thoughts, long-breathing and restful, just as they have longer lives than ours. They are wiser than we are, as long as we do not listen to them. But when we have learned how to listen to trees, then the brevity and the quickness and the childlike hastiness of our thoughts achieve an incomparable joy. Whoever has learned how to listen to trees no longer wants to be a tree. He wants to be nothing except what he is. That is home. That is happiness.”

J.F.K. Best Speech a U.S. President Ever Gave

Best Speech a U.S. President Ever Gave

{Thanks to for binging our attention to this. …And to David Swanson for the writing/posting.}

In planning an upcoming conference and nonviolent action aimed at challenging the institution of war, with the conference to be held at American University, I can’t help but be drawn to the speech a U.S. president gave at American University a little more than 50 years ago. Whether or not you agree with me that this is the best speech ever given by a U.S. president, there should be little dispute that it is the speech most out of step with what anyone will say at either the Republican or the Democratic national convention this year. Here’s a video of the best portion of the speech:

President John F. Kennedy was speaking at a time when, like now, Russia and the United States had enough nuclear weapons ready to fire at each other on a moment’s notice to destroy the earth for human life many times over. At that time, however, in 1963, there were only three nations, not the current nine, with nuclear weapons, and many fewer than now with nuclear energy. NATO was far removed from Russia’s borders. The United States had not just facilitated a coup in Ukraine. The United States wasn’t organizing military exercises in Poland or placing missiles in Poland and Romania. Nor was it manufacturing smaller nukes that it described as “more usable.” The work of managing U.S. nuclear weapons was then deemed prestigious in the U.S. military, not the dumping ground for drunks and misfits that it has become. Hostility between Russia and the United States was high in 1963, but the problem was widely known about in the United States, in contrast to the current vast ignorance. Some voices of sanity and restraint were permitted in the U.S. media and even in the White House. Kennedy was using peace activist Norman Cousins as a messenger to Nikita Khrushchev, whom he never described, as Hillary Clinton has described Vladimir Putin, as “Hitler.”

Kennedy framed his speech as a remedy for ignorance, specifically the ignorant view that war is inevitable. This is the opposite of what President Barack Obama said recently in Hiroshima and earlier in Prague and Oslo. Kennedy called peace “the most important topic on earth.” It is a topic not touched on in the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign. I fully expect this year’s Republican national convention to celebrate ignorance.

Kennedy renounced the idea of a “Pax Americana enforced on the world by American weapons of war,” precisely what both big political parties now and most speeches on war by most past U.S. presidents ever have favored. Kennedy went so far as to profess to care about 100% rather than 4% of humanity:

“… not merely peace for Americans but peace for all men and women–not merely peace in our time but peace for all time.”

Kennedy explained war and militarism and deterrence as nonsensical:

“Total war makes no sense in an age when great powers can maintain large and relatively invulnerable nuclear forces and refuse to surrender without resort to those forces. It makes no sense in an age when a single nuclear weapon contains almost ten times the explosive force delivered by all the allied air forces in the Second World War. It makes no sense in an age when the deadly poisons produced by a nuclear exchange would be carried by wind and water and soil and seed to the far corners of the globe and to generations yet unborn.”

Kennedy went after the money. Military spending is now over half of federal discretionary spending, and yet neither Donald Trump nor Hillary Clinton has said or been asked in even the vaguest terms what they’d like to see spent on militarism. “Today,” said Kennedy in 1963,

“the expenditure of billions of dollars every year on weapons acquired for the purpose of making sure we never need to use them is essential to keeping the peace. But surely the acquisition of such idle stockpiles–which can only destroy and never create–is not the only, much less the most efficient, means of assuring peace.”

In 2016 even beauty queens have shifted to advocating war rather than “world peace.” But in 1963 Kennedy spoke of peace as the serious business of government:

“I speak of peace, therefore, as the necessary rational end of rational men. I realize that the pursuit of peace is not as dramatic as the pursuit of war–and frequently the words of the pursuer fall on deaf ears. But we have no more urgent task. Some say that it is useless to speak of world peace or world law or world disarmament–and that it will be useless until the leaders of the Soviet Union adopt a more enlightened attitude. I hope they do. I believe we can help them do it. But I also believe that we must reexamine our own attitude–as individuals and as a Nation–for our attitude is as essential as theirs. And every graduate of this school, every thoughtful citizen who despairs of war and wishes to bring peace, should begin by looking inward–by examining his own attitude toward the possibilities of peace, toward the Soviet Union, toward the course of the cold war and toward freedom and peace here at home.”

Can you imagine any approved speaker at this year’s RNC or DNC suggesting that in U.S. relations toward Russia a major part of the problem might be U.S. attitudes? Would you be willing to wager your next donation to either of those parties? I’d be glad to accept it.

Peace, Kennedy explained in a manner unheard of today, is perfectly possible:

First: Let us examine our attitude toward peace itself. Too many of us think it is impossible. Too many think it unreal. But that is a dangerous, defeatist belief. It leads to the conclusion that war is inevitable–that mankind is doomed–that we are gripped by forces we cannot control. We need not accept that view. Our problems are manmade–therefore, they can be solved by man. And man can be as big as he wants. No problem of human destiny is beyond human beings. Man’s reason and spirit have often solved the seemingly unsolvable–and we believe they can do it again. I am not referring to the absolute, infinite concept of peace and good will of which some fantasies and fanatics dream. I do not deny the value of hopes and dreams but we merely invite discouragement and incredulity by making that our only and immediate goal. Let us focus instead on a more practical, more attainable peace– based not on a sudden revolution in human nature but on a gradual evolution in human institutions–on a series of concrete actions and effective agreements which are in the interest of all concerned. There is no single, simple key to this peace–no grand or magic formula to be adopted by one or two powers. Genuine peace must be the product of many nations, the sum of many acts. It must be dynamic, not static, changing to meet the challenge of each new generation. For peace is a process–a way of solving problems.”

Kennedy debunked some of the usual straw men:

“With such a peace, there will still be quarrels and conflicting interests, as there are within families and nations. World peace, like community peace, does not require that each man love his neighbor–it requires only that they live together in mutual tolerance, submitting their disputes to a just and peaceful settlement. And history teaches us that enmities between nations, as between individuals, do not last forever. However fixed our likes and dislikes may seem, the tide of time and events will often bring surprising changes in the relations between nations and neighbors. So let us persevere. Peace need not be impracticable, and war need not be inevitable. By defining our goal more clearly, by making it seem more manageable and less remote, we can help all peoples to see it, to draw hope from it, and to move irresistibly toward it.”

Kennedy then laments what he considers, or claims to consider, baseless Soviet paranoia regarding U.S. imperialism, Soviet criticism not unlike his own more private criticism of the CIA. But he follows this by flipping it around on the U.S. public:

“Yet it is sad to read these Soviet statements–to realize the extent of the gulf between us. But it is also a warning–a warning to the American people not to fall into the same trap as the Soviets, not to see only a distorted and desperate view of the other side, not to see conflict as inevitable, accommodation as impossible, and communication as nothing more than an exchange of threats. No government or social system is so evil that its people must be considered as lacking in virtue. As Americans, we find communism profoundly repugnant as a negation of personal freedom and dignity. But we can still hail the Russian people for their many achievements–in science and space, in economic and industrial growth, in culture and in acts of courage. Among the many traits the peoples of our two countries have in common, none is stronger than our mutual abhorrence of war. Almost unique among the major world powers, we have never been at war with each other. And no nation in the history of battle ever suffered more than the Soviet Union suffered in the course of the Second World War. At least 20 million lost their lives. Countless millions of homes and farms were burned or sacked. A third of the nation’s territory, including nearly two thirds of its industrial base, was turned into a wasteland–a loss equivalent to the devastation of this country east of Chicago.”

Imagine today trying to get Americans to see a designated enemy’s point of view and ever being invited back on CNN or MSNBC afterward. Imagine hinting at who actually did the vast majority of winning World War II or why Russia might have good reason to fear aggression from its west!

Kennedy returned to the nonsensical nature of the cold war, then and now:

“Today, should total war ever break out again–no matter how–our two countries would become the primary targets. It is an ironic but accurate fact that the two strongest powers are the two in the most danger of devastation. All we have built, all we have worked for, would be destroyed in the first 24 hours. And even in the cold war, which brings burdens and dangers to so many nations, including this Nation’s closest allies–our two countries bear the heaviest burdens. For we are both devoting massive sums of money to weapons that could be better devoted to combating ignorance, poverty, and disease. We are both caught up in a vicious and dangerous cycle in which suspicion on one side breeds suspicion on the other, and new weapons beget counterweapons. In short, both the United States and its allies, and the Soviet Union and its allies, have a mutually deep interest in a just and genuine peace and in halting the arms race. Agreements to this end are in the interests of the Soviet Union as well as ours–and even the most hostile nations can be relied upon to accept and keep those treaty obligations, and only those treaty obligations, which are in their own interest.”

Kennedy then urges, outrageously by the standards of some, that the United States tolerate other nations pursuing their own visions:

“So, let us not be blind to our differences–but let us also direct attention to our common interests and to the means by which those differences can be resolved. And if we cannot end now our differences, at least we can help make the world safe for diversity. For, in the final analysis, our most basic common link is that we all inhabit this small planet. We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children’s future. And we are all mortal.”

Kennedy reframes the cold war, rather than the Russians, as the enemy:

“Let us reexamine our attitude toward the cold war, remembering that we are not engaged in a debate, seeking to pile up debating points. We are not here distributing blame or pointing the finger of judgment. We must deal with the world as it is, and not as it might have been had the history of the last 18 years been different. We must, therefore, persevere in the search for peace in the hope that constructive changes within the Communist bloc might bring within reach solutions which now seem beyond us. We must conduct our affairs in such a way that it becomes in the Communists’ interest to agree on a genuine peace. Above all, while defending our own vital interests, nuclear powers must avert those confrontations which bring an adversary to a choice of either a humiliating retreat or a nuclear war. To adopt that kind of course in the nuclear age would be evidence only of the bankruptcy of our policy–or of a collective death-wish for the world.”

By Kennedy’s definition, the U.S. government is pursuing a death-wish for the world, just as by Martin Luther King’s definition four years later, the U.S. government is now “spiritually dead.” Which is not to say that nothing came of Kennedy’s speech and the work that followed it in the five months before he was murdered by U.S. militarists. Kennedy proposed in the speech the creation of a hotline between the two governments, which was created. He proposed a ban on nuclear weapons testing and announced the unilateral U.S. cessation of nuclear testing in the atmosphere. This led to a treaty banning nuclear testing except underground. And that led, as Kennedy intended, to greater cooperation and larger disarmament treaties.

This speech also led by degrees difficult to measure to greater U.S. resistance to launching new wars. May it serve to inspire a movement to bring the abolition of war to reality.

Mother Earth’s Rights are Bolivia’s Law

Our task must be to free ourselves … by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures, and the whole of nature, and its beauty. –Albert Einstein

Bolivia’s Law of Mother Earth

–by Ryan Hewlett, syndicated from, Jul 15, 2016

Bolivia’s Law of Mother Earth (“Ley de Derechos de La Madre Tierra”) holds the land as sacred and holds it as a living system with rights to be protected from exploitation.

The law, which was passed by Bolivia’s Plurinational Legislative Assembly in November 2010 is part of a complete restructuring of the Bolivian legal system following a change of constitution in 2009.

It has been heavily influenced by a resurgent indigenous Andean spiritual world view which places the environment and the earth deity known as the Pachamama at the centre of all life. Humans are considered equal to all other entities.

In accordance with the philosophy of Pachamama, it states, “She is sacred, fertile and the source of life that feeds and cares for all living beings in her womb. She is in permanent balance, harmony and communication with the cosmos. She is comprised of all ecosystems and living beings, and their self-organisation.”

The passing of The Law of Mother Earth has established 11 new rights for nature. They include: the right to life and to exist; the right to continue vital cycles and processes free from human alteration; the right to pure water and clean air; the right to balance; the right not to be polluted; and the right to not have cellular structure modified or genetically altered.

Controversially, it will also enshrine the right of nature “to not be affected by mega-infrastructure and development projects that affect the balance of ecosystems and the local inhabitant communities”.

“It makes world history. Earth is the mother of all,” said Vice-President Alvaro García Linera. “It establishes a new relationship between man and nature, the harmony of which must be preserved as a guarantee of its regeneration.”

The passing of such a law is a landmark move from a nation that has long suffered from serious environmental problems and from the mining of its raw materials including tin, silver and gold.

“Existing laws are not strong enough,” said Undarico Pinto, leader of the 3.5m-strong Confederación Sindical Única de Trabajadores Campesinos de Bolivia, the biggest social movement, who helped draft the law. “It will make industry more transparent. It will allow people to regulate industry at national, regional and local levels.”

Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca said Bolivia’s traditional indigenous respect for the Pachamama was vital to prevent climate change.

According to the Guardian, Choquehuanca said: “Our grandparents taught us that we belong to a big family of plants and animals. We believe that everything in the planet forms part of a big family. We indigenous people can contribute to solving the energy, climate, food and financial crises with our values,” he said.

The law enumerates seven specific rights to which Mother Earth and her constituent life systems, including human communities, are entitled to:

To life: It is the right to the maintenance of the integrity of life systems and natural processes which sustain them, as well as the capacities and conditions for their renewal

To the Diversity of Life: It is the right to the preservation of the differentiation and variety of the beings that comprise Mother Earth, without being genetically altered, nor artificially modified in their structure, in such a manner that threatens their existence, functioning and future potential

To water: It is the right of the preservation of the quality and composition of water to sustain life systems and their protection with regards to contamination, for renewal of the life of Mother Earth and all its components

To clean air: It is the right of the preservation of the quality and composition of air to sustain life systems and their protection with regards to contamination, for renewal of the life of Mother Earth and all its components

To equilibrium: It is the right to maintenance or restoration of the inter-relation, interdependence, ability to complement and functionality of the components of Mother Earth, in a balanced manner for the continuation of its cycles and the renewal of its vital processes

To restoration: It is the right to the effective and opportune restoration of life systems affected by direct or indirect human activities

To live free of contamination: It is the right for preservation of Mother Earth and any of its components with regards to toxic and radioactive waste generated by human activities

Reap What You Sew Generosity Project.

–by Kindness Blog, syndicated from, Jun 09, 2015

The World is a mysterious, sometimes scary, place filled with vulnerable people capable of feeling immense pain.
However, at the same time,
it’s also full of love, caring and empathy
which is spread by awesome, heart-warming people…
Awesome people like Michael Swaine!!!

Awesome people like Michael Swaine. In 2002, Swaine turned an old-fashioned ice cream cart into a mobile sewing table. Now he can be regularly found in San Francisco’s neediest neighborhood, the ‘Tenderloin’ , perched behind his vintage sewing machine, stitching patches onto worn jacket linings, hemming trousers, repairing tears in ladies’ blouses — all for free.

His mending is not only about the clothes — it is about the community, friendship, conversation. the people in it, and his own needs to find comfort in a world that is so used to throwing things away.

Swaine, 34, a trained artist, calls it his “Reap What You Sew Generosity Project.” On his cast-iron, treadle-operated machine — last patented in 1911 — Swaine tends to the neighborhood’s rips and seams. Most of his customers are low-income who live in long-term hotels that line the streets. He’ll sew for anyone who asks and occasionally even provides fashion advice! :)

~ “KNOWING WHEN” ~ is a control that understands, focuses, and transforms. ~

“What often occurs is an intellectual understanding
of some non-physical principles,
while still continuing to live the rules
of the physical realm.
Thus the first instinct is
to use positive thinking, Love,
and creating your reality
to control your feeling of safety in life.”

Article by Jamye Price

Can Homeless Dine With Dignity in YOUR Community?

Soup Kitchen Is Set Up Like A Restaurant
So Homeless Can Dine With Dignity

“It’s all about building an Intentional Community”

–by Elyse Wanshel, syndicated from, Mar 27, 2016

One organization has souped up the traditional soup kitchen.

Kansas City Community Kitchen in Kansas City, Missouri, serves food restaurant-style to homeless people, a process which includes greeters, waiters and a side of respect.

“They’re treating me good, like they don’t know I’m homeless.” YES. #KCCK #NotJustASoupKitchen

— Episcopal Community (@ECS_KC) February 11, 2016

We are trying to flip the photo of what a soup kitchen looks like,” Mandy Caruso-Yahne, director of community engagement at Episcopal Community Services, which runs the kitchen, told Upworthy.

The Kansas City Community Kitchen has been serving the community for 30 years, according to its website, but on Feb. 5, it re-opened with its new restaurant-style initiative that allows the homeless to “dine with dignity.”

Each weekday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., volunteer wait staff serve high-quality lunches to the homeless, according to a press release. Individuals are greeted at the door by a host who seats them at a table with a menu. A waiter then asks them what they’d like to eat and a freshly made meal is delivered to them.

“It’s different,” Brian Oglesby, a homeless man
who dined at Kansas City Community Kitchen
told The Kansas City Star.

“They’re treating me good,
like they don’t know I’m homeless.”

The menu was created by executive chef Michael Curry, the owner of the Kansas City restaurant, Lil’ Bubba, who once lived in poverty and ate at soup kitchens himself.

Curry cooks a healthy and varied menu that incorporates fresh foods and suggestions made by diners.

“Last week we had guests asking us when we were going to do some barbecue,” he said in the press release. “So when we prepared our chicken a couple of days later, we decided to make it into pulled chicken sandwiches with our house-made sauce that doesn’t have as much sugar and salt.”

Serving the homeless isn’t all this organization is cooking up.

Volunteers at the kitchen can also participate in the Culinary Cornerstones Training Program, a 12-week class that teaches the under- and unemployed cooking and financial skills. It also helps students get apprenticeships at other local restaurant.

“We want to be the place that
Kansas City restaurants call when they need
good help in their kitchens,” Curry said.

“Everyone has a right to be nourished and sustained,
and we’ll do that with both food and learning.”

As for other volunteers, like Kenneth Cabean, who greets people at the door,

it’s about serving up a heaping helping of soul.

“[The homeless] are used to standing in line for food, for a bed — they stand in line to get in the door,” he told The Kansas City Star.

“See them smile today?
This can change a man’s heart.”

To the Next Generation of Artists

“The answer to peace is simple;
it begins with you.”
~ Wayne Shorter and Herbie Hancock

To the Next Generation of Artists

~ by Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, syndicated from, Mar 16, 2016

We find ourselves in turbulent and unpredictable times.

From the horror at the Bataclan, to the upheaval in Syria and the senseless bloodshed in San Bernardino, we live in a time of great confusion and pain.

As an artist, creator and dreamer of this world, we ask you not to be discouraged by what you see but to use your own lives, and by extension your art, as vehicles for the construction of peace.

While it’s true that the issues facing the world are complex,
the answer to peace is simple;
it begins with you.

You don’t have to be living in a third world country or working for an NGO to make a difference. Each of us has a unique mission. We are all pieces in a giant, fluid puzzle, where the smallest of actions by one puzzle piece profoundly affects each of the others. You matter, your actions matter, your art matters.

We’d like to be clear that while this letter is written
with an artistic audience in mind,
these thoughts transcend professional boundaries
and apply to all people,
regardless of profession.

We are not alone. We do not exist alone and we cannot create alone. What this world needs is a humanistic awakening of the desire to raise one’s life condition to a place where our actions are rooted in altruism and compassion. You cannot hide behind a profession or instrument; you have to be human. Focus your energy on becoming the best human you can be. Focus on developing empathy and compassion. Through the process you’ll tap into a wealth of inspiration rooted in the complexity and curiosity of what it means to simply exist on this planet. Music is but a drop in the ocean of life. […]

We have this idea of failure, but it’s not real; it’s an illusion. There is no such thing as failure. What you perceive as failure is really a new opportunity, a new hand of cards, or a new canvas to create upon. In life there are unlimited opportunities. The words, “success” and “failure”, themselves, are nothing more than labels. Every moment is an opportunity. You, as a human being, have no limits; therefore infinite possibilities exist in any circumstance.

The world needs more one-on-one interaction among people of diverse origins with a greater emphasis on art, culture and education. Our differences are what we have in common. We can work to create an open and continuous plane where all types of people can exchange ideas, resources, thoughtfulness and kindness. We need to be connecting with one another, learning about one another, and experiencing life with one another. We can never have peace if we cannot understand the pain in each other’s hearts. The more we interact, the more we will come to realize that our humanity transcends all differences. […]

Arrogance can develop within artists, either from artists who believe that their status makes them more important, or those whose association with a creative field entitles them to some sort of superiority. Beware of ego; creativity cannot flow when only the ego is served.

The medical field has an organization called Doctors Without Borders. This lofty effort can serve as a model for transcending the limitations and strategies of old business formulas which are designed to perpetuate old systems in the guise of new ones. We’re speaking directly to a system that’s in place, a system that conditions consumers to purchase only the products that are dictated to be deemed marketable, a system where money is only the means to an end. The music business is a fraction of the business of life. Living with creative integrity can bring forth benefits never imagined. […]

As we accumulate years, parts of our imagination tend to dull. Whether from sadness, prolonged struggle, or social conditioning, somewhere along the way people forget how to tap into the inherent magic that exists within our minds. Don’t let that part of your imagination fade away. Look up at the stars and imagine what it would be like to be an astronaut or a pilot. Imagine exploring the pyramids or Machu Picchu. Imagine flying like a bird or crashing through a wall like Superman. Imagine running with dinosaurs or swimming like mer-creatures. All that exists is a product of someone’s imagination; treasure and nurture yours and you’ll always find yourself on the precipice of discovery.

How does any of this lend to the creation of a peaceful society you ask?
It begins with a cause. Your causes create the effects that shape your future and the future of all those around you.
Be the leaders in the movie of your life.
You are the director, producer, and actor.
Be bold and tirelessly compassionate
as you dance through the voyage that is this lifetime.

which appears in its entirety on NestHQ.

Keshe Excerpts ~ One Planet, One Race, One Nation 4m26s

Mehran Keshe, son of an X-ray engineer, was introduced to the world of radiation and nuclear science at a very young age. In 1981 he graduated from Queen Mary College, University of London, as a nuclear engineer specializing in reactor technology system control.

He has spent the years since then completing a system for the production of gravity and energy…He has covered all aspects of the design of a new plasma system from the very beginning to its present stage. This has included the design, the fuel, the testing and practical applications.

He has made this technology FREE TO THE PEOPLE OF THE EARTH and has been conducting on-line classes for over 2 years. In October of 2015 the classes went public in a big way with the expansion of KNOWLEDGE SEEKERS WORKSHOPS thru which he is teaching folks how to do free energy and healing devises all at home. In Europe, the Keshe Foundation is a Certified Manufacturer of Medical Devises.
See for video interviews and testimonials.

“The Keshe Foundation is an independent non-profit and non-religious organization founded by nuclear engineer M.T. Keshe that aims to develop new scientific knowledge, new technologies and new solutions to major global problems like famine, water shortage, lack of electrical power supply, climate change, and disease, through the use of specially developed plasma reactors which will also give Mankind the real freedom to travel in deep Space.”

Nursing Home That’s Also a Dorm

More retirement and nursing homes are asking college students to move in, an arrangement that benefits everyone.

How about promoting
one or more in your area?!!!

Image Humanitas
Student Jordi Pronk shares a laugh with a fellow resident of the Humanitas home. (Humanitas)

On his way home from class, Jurriën Mentink takes a slight detour to pick up some fresh fillets from the fishmonger. His neighbor has an affinity for fish and, since he cycles by the market anyway, it’s really no trouble.

After paying, he hops back on his bike and heads home. He’ll visit his neighbor, have dinner, maybe do some studying or kick back to watch TV. Much like any other university student.

Except home is a nursing home.
And his neighbor just turned 93.

Mentink is one of six students living at Residential and Care Center Humanitas, a long-term care facility in the riverside town of Deventer in the eastern part of the Netherlands. In exchange for 30 hours of volunteer work per month, students are able to stay in vacant rooms there free of charge.Students in the Netherlands spend an average of 366 Euros (roughly $410) each month on rent, up from 341 Euros in 2012. Student housing is often cramped or dingy, and is increasingly difficult to come by. Amsterdam, for instance, was short almost 9,000 student rooms last year.

Meanwhile, long-term care facilities in the country are facing problems of their own. In 2012, the Dutch government decided to stop funding continuing care costs for citizens over the age of 80 who weren’t in dire need. A large group of aging adults, who had once benefited from a free all-inclusive ticket to a home like Humanitas, found themselves unable to shoulder the costs.

The new ruling resulted in fewer people seeking long-term care communities, making it difficult for those communities to stay afloat. In order for Humanitas to survive in this new environment, it needed a unique selling point. One that wouldn’t cost residents any more than they were already paying.

“That’s when I thought of a group of other people—in this case, students—that also don’t have much money,” says Gea Sijpkes, director and CEO at Humanitas.

“If they could get a room in Humanitas, they wouldn’t have to borrow so much money for their study. At the same time, I have some young people in the house, which makes Humanitas the warmest and nicest home in which everybody who needs care would want to live.”

Jurriën Mentink helps one of his neighbors at the intergenerational home. (Humanitas)

As part of their volunteer agreement, Mentink and the other students spend time teaching residents new skills, like email, social media, Skyping, and even graffiti art.

For the residents, the students represent a connection to the outside world. When the students come home from a class, concert, or party, they share those experiences with their elderly neighbors. The conversation moves from aches and pains to whether a student’s girlfriend will be staying the night.

Research links loneliness to mental decline and increased mortality, and regular social interaction with friends and family has been found to improve health in older adults. Saying hello, sharing a joke, bringing fish from the market: It’s the little joys of everyday life that the students bring to the seniors at Humanitas. But it isn’t always just the little things.

Mentink recalls being woken up in the middle of the night by a staff member. One of the residents had attacked a nurse. The resident was extremely agitated and nothing the staff did seemed to help.

“When she saw me, it was like 180 degrees around,” Mentink recalls. “She was instantly relaxed and happy to see me.” Mentink had gotten to know her while giving her computer help. They spent the rest of the night watching Dirty Dancing before Mentink headed off to work.

The intergenerational living model is beginning to gain in popularity. Since Humanitas opened its doors to students in 2012, two more nursing homes in the Netherlands have followed suit. And a similar program was recently introduced in Lyon, France.

In the United States, the Judson Manor retirement community in Cleveland started accepting students from the Cleveland Institutes of Art and Music several years ago. As at Humanitas, the students are integrated among the resident population and have access to all the same amenities.

To earn their keep, they participate in the musical arts committee, assist staff therapists, and volunteer at various events throughout the year. Judson also requires them to give quarterly performances at each of their three campuses.

One student at Judson interviewed every resident, spending over an hour with each one, and compiled a keepsake book. She’s now working on a second volume to include additional residents.

Another student became so close with a resident that she asked her to be the flower girl at her wedding.  The older woman declined, physically unable to make the trek to the West Coast, but threw a party for the couple at Judson instead.

Matthew Kaplan, a professor of intergenerational programs and aging at Pennsylvania State University, says these relationships can acquire far more depth than is possible with “the one-shot-only activity, where kids come into the long-term care facility, sing a song and then go home.”

That may be nice, he says, “but it’s not until [the older and younger people] have a real relationship—which takes a lot of interaction—that it becomes meaningful.”

Seeing your Self Through the Eyes of Others

How do You see You?

We see the Beauty in You, do You?

We should know our own faces better than anyone. We have grown up with them. We see them in the mirror. And yet we often fail to see the beauty that others see in us. As the great psychotherapist Carl Jung wrote, “The most terrifying thing is to accept ourselves completely.”

This VERY INTERESTING & REVEALING short video, presented by the consumer products company Unilever’s Dove brand, explores the difference between self-perception and the way we are seen by others by documenting an interesting experiment: a forensic artist prepared sketches based on the self descriptions of a number of women as well as portraits based on the description of people who had only just met them. The results were eye-opening.

~The 3rd World Ambassadors Meeting for Peace~
Unobserved by many, this last week of October 2015
changed the world for the better
commitments to Peace and freedom
from lack, control, and limitations on all levels.

It’s not in all countries as yet,
however commitments and inroads
have been made in many countries
who truly Honor Peace NOW,
and not as yet with those talking & lie telling
out of both sides of their mouths!
FULL Planetary peace in soon!

This is the Free Gift to Humanity from
Keshe Foundation SpaceShip Institute, KfSSI.

Excerpt from Session 5>>>***1h20m45s thru 1h22m34s:

“You have the river of the Universe
within your hands.
He has released it.
It’s beyond our control!
How are we going to handle it!!?!”
{i.e. How can we now continue to control them,
the masses?}”

To bring us this gift, Mehran Tavakoli Keshe and his Family
have gone thru much tribulation
over the decades of research, discovery and presentation.
Having moved from Iran to free this government from lies about having Nuclear testing {which is not the case, it is Plasmic}, then to Belgium where he was turned upon and labeled a terrorist, jailed in Canada while seeking asylum, then obtaining asylum in Italy,
Mehran Keshe and his Family have survived
thru 5 attempted assassinations:
2 by gunfire, 1 by poison, 1 by car bomb.

Bless You, Mehran Keshe, in your Passion and Love of freeing Mother Earth and all her BEings!!!

Nano = 10 to the minus 9 power which is the size of 1 atom.
Caustic means: having the ability to create nano structure.
“The Human Body is one of the very best caustics…”
is a pasty carrier agent/living organism whose signature makeup creates various and differing vibrational compositions in the nano particle fields.
GANS is NOT a dis-ease of the central nervous system as defined by mainstream medical science.

Excerpts & notes from Session 1
***2m40s thru 6m22s ~
Introduction, updates and explanations.
“Today and this week altogether is a special time for the Foundation and maybe a change of course for Humanity.” M Keshe. This is new and we need to teach so that this new system and new science Plasma System & why You need to know.
It has to be done the way it is designed. It has to be done correctly.
You have to understand how plasma works & interacts in order to utilize it!
***6m22s thru 22m56s
~2KW {kilowatt} UNIT cannot be overloaded. 2KW MAX!!! Whatever load You demand from it over time, ONCE YOU LEARN IT, You will achieve it. Leave it to climatize. Ask electrician, someone who knows how. to connect it. Add about 1KW & leave it for a period, 1-2 weeks +. Power is D.C. {Direct Current.} NOT AC {Alternating Current as in normal house}. Leave lights on all the time. Meters gradually come to a halt!
**1h5m20s thru 1h12m1s
~14 Gauge (1.6mm) copper wiring is best for power production, 2kw startups: make copper turns anti-clockwise {counter-clockwise}. On 1st coil spring (Magnetical~ outside coil), 70 to 80 turns w/slight gap between on 2nd wire 150-160 turns (Gravitational~inside coil). Need 3 sets of double coils + 1 more = 4. smaller is to fit into larger with a little room free between them. This will all be shown in later Sessions and in the download BLUEPRINT, and will be much clearer and easier, as also in the excerpt below.
*1hr 29m30s thru 1h41m
~ a lot has been left out for simplicity sake in the abridged offering. If You will be building your own units or for others, be sure You get full training under your belt first!!! 3 sets of wires and caustic. See NANO Creation videos with Armen beginning at 1h34.m3s.

***1hr47m thru 1hr57m7s ~ Time for all to be equal. Shipments on way to Palestine & Africa. This time we do more than teach You to fish, we fish together so that no one will go hungry.
No government at any level can stop You. …No regulation, greed, corruption, or control can stop You with this system.
Now You see how simple it has become.

*** KFSSI Blueprint Teaching Week PM October 26 Mon PM Session 2
This link explains the general-ness of the easy science, practical PLANETARY LIFE CHANGING PLASMA ENERGY with some demonstrations and more theoretical than this morning session.

pub by KFSSI~2h19m25s,begins at 20 seconds.

Excerpts & notes from Session 2
intro, news, updates& releases.
13m05s thru 32m59s~matter we have done all we can do with it for the situations we were in, then went into atomic age, the nuclear age which is the center of the atom. NOW, the essence of the atom which is the plasma. Including the stupid term, the God Particle which means, OH God!, it does not exist.   …so they can milk society for research money to do what they want with. They made a lot of money for a lot of people which does nothing. ALL PARTICLES ARE OF THE SAME DYNAMIC SYSTEMS in the circle….protons, neutrons, electron, Earth, Sun, galaxy; creating false names for the same order in same systems. Names have been here to misinform humanity for a few peoples titles. Yet they are not men enough to admit they made mistakes. They want to change names on things so they can keep their patents in value, rather than eliminated because of bad/misleading/fake science. What is the mystery in “Plasma”. There is none. There is no magic if You understand it! It’s that simple. One pulls in (Gravitational in red !~ attracts/holds onto) and one pushes out {Magnetic in black~ rejects/shielding/separation}. See 2 spirals on white board at 28m5s. See magnets in Keshe’s hands at 30m00s.
37m36s thru 40m44s~ note magnets actions accommodating each other, no burning of fuels! In the Universe, we must accommodate, not fight against. That is why mainstream medicine DOES NOT WORK! It fights rather than accommodates>
*40m45s thru 1h5m50s~ See easy & superb metaphoric example using toilet paper roll. then continue for the more on the use and benefits for Humanity & Mother Earth.
***Cancers can be reversed in 3 minutes max.
***2h12m5s thru 2h13m01s~See details of Drill motor rotation for VERY RAPID COIL WINDINGS from within segment below:
***2h7m5s thru 2h19m30s~show & tell of coils and their formation into what is needed for within the units. 3 sets of inner & outer coils with smaller coils also within the larger sized coils. Conversation with Richard in Vancouver B.C. Canada.

KFSSI Blueprint Teaching Week AM Oct 27 2015 Tues AM Session 3

Excerpts from Session 3
***40s thru 7m58s~Mr. Keshe opening remarks.   “…totality to cover all needs of man in space…”.
Feedback coming in, states that health institutes, hospitals and clinics who research this are readily accepting this for it’s use, because the results are so prominent and quick. No need to test for months. Free Energy application is only the beginning of this New Plasma Science. TODAY the first batches of Magrav units which have been paid for are being shipped, with balance by Friday. NOW NO WAY THIS PROCESS CAN BE FURTHER STOPPED!
8m1s thru 24m01s~
commentary, background info, and current status, this weeks projections, along with some sharings and initial early showing of work to date.
24m02s~Starting the next step. Use ocean salt water to have better results. If You live near big seas, then use that water. People are reporting better results than with distilled water. DO NOT USE HOUSEHOLD TAP WATER. Feel free to further explore more of the technical information in this section on your own.
1h19m9s thru 1h19m20s~view of the correct consistency of the GANS paste. GANS colors are determined by the material used and the environment it is in,
*1h37m45s thru 1h38m20s~the galaxy is no different than a cell in structural layout. It’s up to You to develop your understanding and change the ways of human and fulfilling destiny. It’s up to You to understand the totality, then You understand there is no magic.
NASA will not achieve things successfully with the current way the are using plasma science.
1h40m33s thru 1h43 ~question on thickness/diameter of wiring? Keshe >”You choose, the thicker wire the more plasma transfer. That’s all the difference. Brennan online to explain pens with different shape of coils for pens, etc.

NOTES: from miscellaneous places in this teaching:
The Balanced exchange of the Plastic Field:
“What I do not need I give away.
What You need You can take.
What You do not need, You can give away.
What I need I can take.”

“Change the spins on Fields by changing the environment.”

“REMEMBER: Theoretical physics/science has made a lot of assumptions creating PHD papers. Electrons have been pure guesswork. It’s on what THEY THINK that THEY have observed!”

“Change of Polarity in social systems is from its sister and nothing else”.

“Space is a Beautiful place, if You play by its rules, not force yourself in position by ignoring/breaking rules.”

For essential oil property transfer, dip the tip in oil to be transferred vibrationally.

End of AM Session 3.

***3m01s thru 16m2s~
Tuesday afternoons are usually health sessions and anyone can join for learnings on health and applications of technologies regarding health. On alternative Tues our Friends from China join with us. Our Friends from Mexico Join with us to teach us nearly every week. And also assistance with children on health application. “The body is a Plasma FIeld….”    See graphic drawings on video whiteboard     “…just one big long sausage in a vacuum state…” “The body of the man, on his own, is the Universe, in his {human’s} own vacuum condition”. Results show up in minutes & hours: regeneration of limbs & organs now available to happen. NOW WE KNOW THE SECRET!

Russell Means tribute ~ Republic of Lakota

Russell Charles Means (November 10, 1939 – October 22, 2012) was an actor {perhaps best known for his performance in “Last of the Mohicans”}, political & rights activist to come to aid for all, as he traveled across the planet
with LOVE in his Heart.
In Russell’s own words:
“Hello my relatives. What I have to say about myself. I have been to prison, I have been a thief. I’ve been a doper, a dope dealer. And I’ve also have been to college. I am an accountant and a computer programmer, as well as getting my Doctorate in Philosophy. I have been everywhere in the strata of white society. I’ve even hung around with multi-millionaires when there were no billionaires. I am an Indian, and American Indian. I prefer American Indian too. Anyone born in the Western Hemisphere is a Native American. I am an Ogallala Lakota from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation which is still designated in the Defense Department as ‘Prisoner of War Camp #44’. You see, Indian people have no rights, no constitutional rights on the Indian Reservations what so ever, no freedom of speech, no privacy.
WOW! You Americans are in the same boat.
…I also Belong to ‘The Republic of Lakota’ …”

The passing of Russell Means
was a lose for the world
Part of the post below is directly copied from this link.

On October 22, 2012, Indian rights activist Russell Means passed on after a magnificent life of struggle to better the lives of American Indians. Means had a tremendous impact on Native American struggles of the latter part of the 20th century and he will be sorely missed, but his passing was a huge loss not just for Native America, not just for all of America, but for the world. He became the warrior conscience of the U.S. as a nation and exposed the oppression of American Indians to the globe.

Means reawakened Native people to the need for direct action in dealing with the “powers that be.” Contrary to popular belief, there had been a long unbroken string of Native activism throughout the 20th century, but the government-leaning mainstream news media had for the most part managed to keep information of Indian resistance hidden behind the “Buckskin Curtain.” What distinguished Means and the American Indian Movement (AIM) was that they were able to break through the “Curtain” with justifiably sensational tactics that the media could not ignore. The 1973 Wounded Knee occupation and other protests had to be covered, and that riveted the moral conscience of America and the entire world. All just-minded citizens, of all races, creeds and colors, morally supported the actions of AIM. Public opinion in the U.S. was on the side of Means and the warriors of AIM. One thing that was said about AIM in those days was that they would never lose a fight by default; when called upon AIM always showed up.

It has been said that American Indians are the “miners’ canary” which indicates that justice in this society can be measured by how Native people are treated. Given that criterion this country is still sadly lacking in that category.

As for Means, he started out working in an office as a computer operator. He was trained as an accountant, was a straight A student and was awarded a scholarship to Arizona State University. Indian youth, in particular, should find this inspirational at a time when less than half of Native young people graduate from high school.

Means became a steadfast fighter for Indian rights. Among his many accomplishments: He founded the first radio station on his reservation and the first independent health clinic. He was also was a founder of the International Treaty Council which was responsible for the United Nations Declaration of Rights of Indigenous Peoples, which impacted peoples worldwide.

In the mid-1970s, I had the priceless opportunity to meet Means, Vernon and Clyde Bellecourt, Jimmie Durham and others prominent in the American Indian Movement, at an AIM rally. I actually remember him as rather quiet. In fact, I don’t recall him even speaking on stage at the event.

Means was not only an activist, but also an avid painter, screenplay writer and actor. In these roles he always drew attention to Native issues both contemporarily and historically. He was also an author, writing a several-hundred-page autobiography entitled “Where White Men Fear to Tread.” The book, written in language that ranges from the sublime to the earthy, is filled with profound philosophical and political insights. It is a huge indictment of racism and an expose of the appalling conditions in Indian Country that gave rise to AIM. Although I don’t agree with all of Means’ political views in the volume (specifically on Nicaragua and socialism) it is otherwise a stellar work indicting the U.S. for its horrific treatment of Native people.

Uncompromising to the end, when Means was first diagnosed with esophageal cancer in the summer of 2011 he announced he was eschewing mainstream medical treatment in favor of traditional Native medicine. Through it all, he remained the iconic symbol of American Indian resistance to the ongoing centuries of the race war conducted against Native Americans by the U.S. government.

Means reinforced the iconic image of the intrepid, dauntless Indian warrior willing to risk all consequences in his endless quest for indigenous justice. Exposed in his odyssey was the federal government’s equally endless quest to silence him “by any means necessary.” He was shot, stabbed (all assassination attempts), imprisoned, harassed incessantly, but he never slowed down. Means was a source of boundless inspiration to all who were committed to “The Cause.” Means has walked on, but the movement lives on.

Wisdom, philosophical and practical quotes of
Russell from some of the video links below:

“Mother Earth has been abused, the powers have been abused,
this cannot go on forever.
No theory can alter that simple fact.
Mother Earth will retaliate,
the whole environment will retaliate,
and the abusers will be eliminated.
Things come full circle, back to where they started.
That’s revolution.
~ Russell Means

“It’s only gotten worse. We are a people, ‘out of sight, out of mind’. Only when we stand up for ourselves do people begin to listen.

“Now, I know the history of the white man. I know it from his very beginnings since he was put in Europe. Only when based on corporate greed., OK. I know how he built this country, his America. It’s an insidious evil country, based on death, all for corporate greed.

“The facts are American history. The United States of America is the only country in the world that’s been at war every year of it’s existence. …EVERY YEAR OF ITS EXISTENCE, 136 years, every year its been at war, sometimes multiple wars.”

“In the Republic of Lakota, the provisional government that I had, we are promising our people nothing.   Our people have been promised every by Christian missionaries. They’ve been promised everything by government agents. They’ve been promised by everyone who wanted to make money off our backs. And then we get nothing,
So, when we withdrew with our {broken} treaties from the United States, we said that we were not going to promise our people anything, we are going to DO. We are going to be an example.”

“And also we want to convince white people who want to be free and might want to move here, and there’s white people here. We tell them You have to rule by consensus. You cannot protect individual rights with a majority cause there always is going to be a minority. You are going to have to rule by consensus. Now You can do it small, or You can do it large, but as long as its done by consensus.”

” Oh we face death, we have the lowest live expectancy
on Earth, ON EARTH MAN!
We are worse of than Haiti, healthwise and povertywise. Our men only live to 49.3 years.   The Bureau of Indian Affairs of the United States government runs our lives …
We are not allowed to run our lives.
Only 22 families control our land, 100 hectares. The rest of us are poor. The 22 families are mostly white people..”

“What I want to do is save our language with the young. We are trying to establish LaKota only schools. No English allowed, because as You know, and that any that speaks another language knows, the English language is very primitive. You can not translate adequately translate any language into English because it’s so primitive.”

“What i have to say to people all over the world is (because I lived in the belly of the monster)  You have to stay home. You have to improve your world. until it’s in balance. And don’t understand, I do not understand, any religion that condones violence. I just don’t understand that. I know the patriarchal world loves violence. The United States is the perfect example.”

“I Wish My Teacher Had Known…” – Adults on How Teacher Empathy Could Have Changed Their Lives

–by Lindsey Weedston, syndicated from Yes Magazine, May 28, 2015

Kyle Schwartz, an elementary school teacher in Denver, recently came up with an activity for her third-grade class that went viral. Employed at a school where 92 percent of kids qualify for free or reduced lunch , Schwartz was looking for a way to better understand her students. She handed out notecards and asked them to finish this sentence: “I wish my teacher knew…”

The results were heart-wrenching:

Although it’s a minor problem in comparison to what some of Schwartz’s students are going through,

to this day I still wish my teachers had known how hard it was for me to give presentations. Forcing me into public speaking did nothing to alleviate my fear of it.

The terror. The sweating. The sleep deprivation. The dread that swept over my body like the specter of death the moment my name was called. I had anxiety over public speaking so bad, I would be stressed out from the day the project was announced. I’d be so nervous the night before that I would be utterly unable to sleep and so, on top of being terrified, I had to present in a groggy, sleep-deprived, there-isn’t-enough-coffee-in-the-universe fog. These projects made me miserable.

Watching Schwartz’s story take off on the Internet got me thinking about how much we are affected by experiences in school beyond our classes, extracurricular activities, and cafeteria gossip. Most kids deal with issues at home, illnesses, or disabilities that are invisible to others. These challenges affect every part of the learning process—including attention span, classroom behavior, and interaction with other kids. Every child has different needs, but the inflexibility of the education system in the United States often leaves behind those who don’t fit in. If you can’t learn to read the way reading is taught, you’re out of luck. Roadblocks like this hurt grades, lower confidence, and often haunt us into adulthood.

Why does school have to be something kids “survive”?

My teachers did nothing to address my phobia of public speaking, and I never learned how to give a presentation without being stricken with terror. Today, that fear limits my career possibilities. I could seek help for it on my own now, but it would have been so much easier (and cheaper) if someone had understood and intervened when I was young.

In order to explore this issue further, I embarked on a project of my own and asked some of my friends to finish this sentence: “I wish my teacher had known…”

Here are some of their responses, which have been lightly edited:

“I wish my teacher had known how much it hurt me emotionally and intellectually when they would teach other subjects and work on projects, which I missed while I was in my special class for dyslexia.”

Janelle has the common learning disability dyslexia, which affects about10 percent of the human population. Because she didn’t learn to read like most kids, she was removed from classes each day for special instruction with other dyslexic kids. Because of that, she missed out on things that the rest of the student body experienced, like math lessons and arts and crafts projects. The knowledge gaps left Janelle thinking something was wrong with her, a feeling she struggled with through middle and high school.

“I wish my teacher had known that telling kids not to pick on me because I was ‘disabled and sensitive’ was not adequate help and actually counterproductive.”

Addison was born with cerebral palsy, which caused his left arm and leg to be smaller and weaker than his right. It affected his ability to run, play sports, and generally keep up with the other boys. As a result, he was bullied from a young age. Teachers did little to help him, and pointing out his disability only made him a more obvious target.

“I wish my teacher had known that just because I didn’t talk didn’t mean I didn’t understand. I wish my teacher had known that when they called my house to complain about my silence, my parents beat me for it.”

Janessa was born with a hearing disorder that left her mostly nonverbal through much of elementary school. Her teachers assumed Janessa’s silence meant she was less intelligent than her peers or that she wasn’t trying hard enough. She remembers how her teachers belittled her, yelled at her, and bullied her in front of her classmates, which in turn increased the bullying she endured from other kids. Unaware of abuse at home, teachers complained about Janessa’s behavior to her parents, which only exacerbated her abusive home life.

In sixth grade, a standardized test revealed she read at a college level. As an adult, Janessa recognizes the potential that had been hiding beneath her quiet surface and feels her teachers could have done more to understand her needs. “An intelligent curiosity dwelled behind my silence,” she said. “In not stopping the bullying by my peers, they further enforced my silence.”

“I wish they had known in high school that I was having a catatonic panic attack and that’s why I was scared to go to school. Or that I took so many bathroom breaks because I had to throw up any amount of food I ate. I wish they knew that we were too poor to buy calculators and flash drives, and that I didn’t know how to use PowerPoint because we didn’t have that on our computer.”

Poor attendance and frequent bathroom breaks are often assumed to be the result of laziness and disinterest in school. In Damielle’s case, her mental illness made it difficult to go anywhere, let alone spend all day in school. While many teen girls suffer from eating disorders like bulimia, a lot of school administrators remain unaware of the issue and are therefore unsympathetic to kids who ask for frequent bathroom breaks or can’t focus due to lack of nutrition.

We need to change the way we think about education.

As a former classmate of Damielle’s, I remember that PowerPoint presentations were a required aspect of many school projects. Having grown up in a middle-class family, it never occurred to me that some kids’ parents might not be able to afford the program, and that kids like Damielle had to try and complete presentations in the library or at friends’ homes. None of Damielle’s teachers recognized her behavior as a sign of a bigger problem until high school, but by then the years of struggling had left their mark.

All of these people, including myself, survived school and are now functioning adults. The question is, why does school have to be something kids “survive”? It seems deeply unfair that the friends I talked to had so much trouble in school because of differences they couldn’t control.

These stories reinforce my belief that the U.S. school system can and should be so much more than it is now. We need to change the way we think about education. Schools need to be flexible enough to create alternate paths around obstacles like poverty, disability, and illness. Teachers need more resources, more help, and smaller class sizes so they have an easier time getting to know their students.

With CNN and The Today Show reporting on Schwartz’s class project, she has become a leading voice in the national conversation about the importance of teachers building trust with their students. Educators all over the country have been inspired to learn more about their students’ individual needs and personal hurdles by holding their own activities around “I wish my teacher knew.” What started as one small classroom project has sparked a movement to improve the U.S. education system through simple empathy and understanding.

Can you teach people to have empathy?

Roman Krznaric is the author of Empathy: Why It Matters, and How to Get It – on which this article is based – and is founder of the Empathy Museum and Empathy Library.

Original article from BBC News Magazine email newslatter.

Empathy is a quality that is integral to most people’s lives – and yet the modern world makes it easy to lose sight of the feelings of others. But almost everyone can learn to develop this crucial personality trait, says Roman Krznaric.

Open Harper Lee’s classic novel To Kill A Mockingbird and one line will jump out at you:

“You never really understand another person until you consider things from his point of view – until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it.”

Human beings are naturally primed to embrace this message. According to the latest neuroscience research, 98% of people (the exceptions include those with psychopathic tendencies) have the ability to empathise wired into their brains – an in-built capacity for stepping into the shoes of others and understanding their feelings and perspectives.

The problem is that most don’t tap into their full empathic potential in everyday life.

You can easily find yourself passing by a mother struggling with a pram on some steps as you rush to a work meeting, or read about a tragic earthquake in a distant country then let it slip your mind as you click a link to check the latest football results.

Can you read someone’s mind through their eyes?

The empathy gap can appear in personal relationships too – like when I find myself shouting in frustration at my six-year-old twins, or fail to realise that my partner is doing more than her fair share of the housework.

So is there anything you can do to boost your empathy levels? The good news is that almost everyone can learn to be more empathic, just like we can learn to ride a bike or drive a car.

A good warm up is to do a quick assessment of your empathic abilities. Neuropsychologist Simon Baron-Cohen has devised a test called Reading the Mind in the Eyes in which you are shown 36 pairs of eyes and have to choose one of four words that best describes what each person is feeling or thinking – for instance, jealous, arrogant, panicked or hateful.

The average score of around 26 suggests that the majority of people are surprisingly good – though far from perfect – at visually reading others’ emotions.

Going a step further, there are three simple but powerful strategies for unleashing the empathic potential that is latent in our neural circuitry.

Make a habit of “radical listening”

“What is essential,’ wrote Marshall Rosenberg, psychologist and founder of Non-Violent Communication, “is our ability to be present to what’s really going on within – to the unique feelings and needs a person is experiencing at that very moment.”

Listening out for people’s feelings and needs – whether it is a friend who has just been diagnosed with breast cancer or a spouse who is upset at you for working late yet again – gives them a sense of being understood.

Let people have their say, hold back from interrupting and even reflect back what they’ve told you so they knew you were really listening. There’s a term for doing this – “radical listening”.

Radical listening can have an extraordinary impact on resolving conflict situations. Rosenberg points out that in employer-employee disputes, if both sides literally repeat what the other side just said before speaking themselves, conflict resolution is reached 50% faster.

Look for the human behind everything

A second step is to deepen empathic concern for others by developing an awareness of all those individuals hidden behind the surface of our daily lives, on whom we may depend in some way. A Buddhist-inspired approach to this is to spend a whole day becoming mindful of every person connected to your routine actions.

So when you have your morning coffee, think about the people who picked the coffee beans. As you button your shirt, consider the labour behind the label by asking yourself: “Who sewed on these buttons? Where in the world are they? What are their lives like?”

Think about all the people you take for granted

Then continue throughout the day, bringing this curiosity to who is driving the train, vacuuming the office floor or stacking the supermarket shelves. It is precisely such mindful awareness that can spark empathic action on the behalf of others, whether it’s buying Fairtrade coffee or becoming friends with the office cleaner.

Bertolt Brecht wrote a wonderful poem about this called A Worker Reads History, which begins: “Who built the seven gates of Thebes? / The books are filled with the names of kings / Was it the kings who hauled the craggy blocks of stone?”

Become curious about strangers

I used to regularly walk past a homeless man around the corner from where I live in Oxford and take virtually no notice of him. One day I stopped to speak to him.

It turned out his name was Alan Human and he had a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford. We subsequently developed a friendship based on our mutual interest in Aristotle’s ethics and pepperoni pizza.

This encounter taught me that having conversations with strangers opens up our empathic minds. We can not only meet fascinating people but also challenge the assumptions and prejudices that we have about others based on their appearance, accents or backgrounds.

It’s about recovering the curiosity everyone had as children, but which society is so good at beating out of us. Get beyond superficial talk but beware interrogating people. Respect the advice of oral historian Studs Terkel – who always spoke to people on the bus on his daily commute: “Don’t be an examiner, be the interested inquirer.”

These are the kinds of conversations you will find happening at the world’s first Empathy Museum, which is launching in the UK in late 2015 and will then be travelling to Australia and other countries.

Amongst the unusual exhibitions will be a human library, where instead of borrowing a book you borrow a person for conversation – maybe a Sikh teenager, an unhappy investment banker or a gay father. In other words, the kind of people you may not get to meet in everyday life.

Empathy is the cornerstone of healthy human relationships.

As the psychologist and inventor of emotional intelligence Daniel Goleman puts it, without empathy a person is “emotionally tone deaf”.

It’s clear that with a little effort nearly everyone can put more of their empathic potential to use. So try slipping on your empathy shoes and make an adventure of looking at the world through the eyes of others.

Not Minding What Happens by Eckhart Tolle

Not Minding What Happens
by Eckhart Tolle

J. Krishnamurti, the great Indian philosopher and spiritual teacher, spoke and traveled almost continuously all over the world for more than fifty years attempting to convey through words – which are content – that which is beyond words, beyond content. At one of his talks in the later part of his life, he surprised his audience by saying, “Do you want to know my secret?” Everyone became very alert. Many people in the audience had been coming to listen to him for twenty or thirty years and still failed to grasp the essence of his teaching. Finally, after all these years, the master would give them the key to understanding. “This is my secret,” he said. “I don’t mind what happens.”He did not elaborate, and so I suspect most of his audience were even more perplexed than before. The implications of this simple statement, however, are profound. When I don’t mind what happens, what does that imply? It implies that internally I am in alignment with what happens. “What happens,” of course, refers to the suchness of this moment, which always already is as it is. It refers to content, the form that this moment – the only moment there ever is – takes. To be in alignment with what is means to be in a relationship of inner nonresistance with what happens. It means not to label it mentally as good or bad, but to let it be. Does this mean you can no longer take action to bring about change in your life? On the contrary. When the basis for your actions is inner alignment with the present moment, your actions become empowered by the intelligence of Life itself.About the Author: Ekchart Tolle in his book, “A New Earth.”

LOVE your Mother, Earth! Nature Needs a New Pronoun…

“We Humans look rather different than a tree.
Without a doubt we perceive the world different than a tree does.
But down deep, at the molecular Heart of Life,
the trees and we are essentially identical.

Nature Needs a New Pronoun:
To Stop the Age of Extinction,
Let’s Start by Ditching “It”

–by Robin Wall Kimmerer, syndicated from Yes Magazine,
Jun 06, 2015

Calling the natural world “it” absolves us of moral responsibility and opens the door to exploitation.
Here’s what we can say instead.

imageSinging whales, talking trees, dancing bees, birds who make art, fish who navigate, plants who learn and remember. We are surrounded by intelligences other than our own, by feathered people and people with leaves. But we’ve forgotten. There are many forces arrayed to help us forget—even the language we speak.

I’m a beginning student of my native Anishinaabe language, trying to reclaim what was washed from the mouths of children in the Indian Boarding Schools. Children like my grandfather. So I’m paying a lot of attention to grammar lately. Grammar is how we chart relationships through language, including our relationship with the Earth.

Imagine your grandmother standing at the stove in her apron and someone says, “Look, it is making soup. It has gray hair.” We might snicker at such a mistake; at the same time we recoil. In English, we never refer to a person as “it.” Such a grammatical error would be a profound act of disrespect. “It” robs a person of selfhood and kinship, reducing a person to a thing.

And yet in English, we speak of our beloved Grandmother Earth in exactly that way: as “it.” The language allows no form of respect for the more-than-human beings with whom we share the Earth. In English, a being is either a human or an “it.”

Objectification of the natural world reinforces the notion that our species is somehow more deserving of the gifts of the world than the other 8.7 million species with whom we share the planet. Using “it” absolves us of moral responsibility and opens the door to exploitation. When Sugar Maple is an “it” we give ourselves permission to pick up the saw. “It” means it doesn’t matter.

But in Anishinaabe and many other indigenous languages, it’s impossible to speak of Sugar Maple as “it.” We use the same words to address all living beings as we do our family. Because they are our family.

What would it feel like to be part of a family that includes birches and beavers and butterflies? We’d be less lonely. We’d feel like we belonged. We’d be smarter.

In indigenous ways of knowing, other species are recognized not only as persons, but also as teachers who can inspire how we might live. We can learn a new solar economy from plants, medicines from mycelia, and architecture from the ants. By learning from other species, we might even learn humility.

Colonization, we know, attempts to replace indigenous cultures with the culture of the settler. One of its tools is linguistic imperialism, or the overwriting of language and names. Among the many examples of linguistic imperialism, perhaps none is more pernicious than the replacement of the language of nature as subject with the language of nature as object. We can see the consequences all around us as we enter an age of extinction precipitated by how we think and how we live.

Let me make here a modest proposal for the transformation of the English language, a kind of reverse linguistic imperialism, a shift in worldview through the humble work of the pronoun.
Might the path to sustainability be marked by grammar?

Language has always been changeable and adaptive. We lose words we don’t need anymore and invent the ones we need. We don’t need a worldview of Earth beings as objects anymore. That thinking has led us to the precipice of climate chaos and mass extinction. We need a new language that reflects the life-affirming world we want. A new language, with its roots in an ancient way of thinking.

If sharing is to happen, it has to be done right, with mutual respect. So, I talked to my elders. I was pointedly reminded that our language carries no responsibility to heal the society that systematically sought to exterminate it. At the same time, others counsel that “the reason we have held on to our traditional teachings is because one day, the whole world will need them.” I think that both are true.

English is a secular language, to which words are added at will. But Anishinaabe is different. Fluent speaker and spiritual teacher Stewart King reminds us that the language is sacred, a gift to the People to care for one another and for the Creation. It grows and adapts too, but through a careful protocol that respects the sanctity of the language.

He suggested that the proper Anishinaabe word for beings of the living Earth would be Bemaadiziiaaki. I wanted to run through the woods calling it out, so grateful that this word exists. But I also recognized that this beautiful word would not easily find its way to take the place of “it.” We need a simple new English word to carry the meaning offered by the indigenous one. Inspired by the grammar of animacy and with full recognition of its Anishinaabe roots, might we hear the new pronoun at the end of Bemaadiziiaaki, nestled in the part of the word that means land?

“Ki” to signify a BEing of the living Earth. Not “he” or “she,” but “ki.” So that when we speak of Sugar Maple, we say, “Oh that beautiful tree, ki is giving us sap again this spring.” And we’ll need a plural pronoun, too, for those Earth beings. Let’s make that new pronoun “kin.” So we can now refer to birds and trees not as things, but as our earthly relatives. On a crisp October morning we can look up at the geese and say, “Look, kin are flying south for the winter. Come back soon.”

Language can be a tool for cultural transformation. Make no mistake: “Ki” and “kin” are revolutionary pronouns. Words have power to shape our thoughts and our actions. On behalf of the living world, let us learn the grammar of animacy. We can keep “it” to speak of bulldozers and paperclips, but every time we say “ki,” let our words reaffirm our respect and kinship with the more-than-human world. Let us speak of the BEings of Earth as the “kin” they are.

The Vision Alignment Project

A Vision for Family

We see a world where we have expanded
the definition of our family;
where we are not only family to those with whom we are blood related,
but that we are also part of a larger family –
a soul family that is made up of those
we made arrangements and agreements with
before we came into this lifetime for the purpose of
learning lessons and helping each other in our evolution.

We see ourselves understanding that the members of our soul family do not always provide us
with pleasure and beneficence,
that sometimes they come to provide us
with adversity and challenges
so we can become stronger of character;
and as we let go of our self-importance,
we are better able to recognize these soul family members
and the gifts they bring to us.

We, then, see a world where we recognize that
everyone we meet, everyone we share
this beautiful, abundant Earth with
is actually part of an even larger family
that has come here at this time
to experience a Grand Oneness together.
Indeed, as we create this Oneness,
all opposition and judgment is set aside forever,
and we, once again,
see the wisdom in redefining who our family is.

For, at this point, we are the Family of One.

The ART of “STILLNESS” …Treat your Self to a Moment in Peaceful Nothingness.

The Art of Stillness

Within you there is a stillness and a sanctuary to which you can retreat at any time and be yourself. –Hermann Hesse

“Stillness is the NO-where “from which” we “blossom” LOVE into this dimensionality” ~ L’iv

The place that travel writer Pico Iyer would most like to go? Nowhere. In a counterintuitive and lyrical meditation, Iyer takes a look at the incredible insight that comes with taking time for stillness. In our world of constant movement and distraction, he teases out strategies we all can use to take back a few minutes out of every day, or a few days out of every season. It’s the talk for anyone who feels overwhelmed by the demands for our world.

Acclaimed travel writer Pico Iyer began his career documenting a neglected aspect of travel — the sometimes surreal disconnect between local tradition and imported global pop culture. Since then, he has written ten books, exploring also the cultural consequences of isolation, whether writing about the exiled spiritual leaders of Tibet or the embargoed society of Cuba.

The FULL transcript follows below:

I’m a lifelong traveler. Even as a little kid, I was actually working out that it would be cheaper to go to boarding school in England than just to the best school down the road from my parents’ house in California. So, from the time I was nine years old I was flying alone several times a year over the North Pole, just to go to school. And of course the more I flew the more I came to love to fly, so the very week after I graduated from high school, I got a job mopping tables so that I could spend every season of my 18th year on a different continent. And then, almost inevitably, I became a travel writer so my job and my joy could become one.

And I really began to feel that if you were lucky enough to walk around the candlelit temples of Tibet or to wander along the seafronts in Havana with music passing all around you,you could bring those sounds and the high cobalt skies and the flash of the blue ocean back to your friends at home, and really bring some magic and clarity to your own life. Except, as you all know, one of the first things you learn when you travel is that nowhere is magical unless you can bring the right eyes to it. You take an angry man to the Himalayas, he just starts complaining about the food. And I found that the best way that I could develop more attentive and more appreciative eyes was, oddly, by going nowhere, just by sitting still.

And of course sitting still is how many of us get what we most crave and need in our accelerated lives, a break. But it was also the only way that I could find to sift through the slideshow of my experience and make sense of the future and the past. And so, to my great surprise, I found that going nowhere was at least as exciting as going to Tibet or to Cuba. And by going nowhere, I mean nothing more intimidating than taking a few minutes out of every day or a few days out of every season, or even, as some people do, a few years out of a life in order to sit still long enough to find out what moves you most, to recall where your truest happiness lies and to remember that sometimes making a living and making a life point in opposite directions.

And of course, this is what wise beings through the centuries from every tradition have been telling us.It’s an old idea. More than 2,000 years ago, the Stoics were reminding us it’s not our experience that makes our lives, it’s what we do with it. Imagine a hurricane suddenly sweeps through your town and reduces every last thing to rubble. One man is traumatized for life. But another, maybe even his brother, almost feels liberated, and decides this is a great chance to start his life anew. It’s exactly the same event, but radically different responses. There is nothing either good or bad, as Shakespeare told us in “Hamlet,” but thinking makes it so.

And this has certainly been my experience as a traveler. Twenty-four years ago I took the most mind-bending trip across North Korea. But the trip lasted a few days. What I’ve done with it sitting still, going back to it in my head, trying to understand it, finding a place for it in my thinking, that’s lasted 24 years already and will probably last a lifetime. The trip, in other words, gave me some amazing sights, but it’s only sitting still that allows me to turn those into lasting insights. And I sometimes think that so much of our life takes place inside our heads, in memory or imagination or interpretation or speculation, that if I really want to change my life I might best begin by changing my mind.

Again, none of this is new; that’s why Shakespeare and the Stoics were telling us this centuries ago, but Shakespeare never had to face 200 emails in a day. (Laughter) The Stoics, as far as I know, were not on Facebook. We all know that in our on-demand lives, one of the things that’s most on demand is ourselves. Wherever we are, any time of night or day, our bosses, junk-mailers, our parents can get to us. Sociologists have actually found that in recent years Americans are working fewer hours than 50 years ago, but we feel as if we’re working more. We have more and more time-saving devices, but sometimes, it seems, less and less time. We can more and more easily make contact with people on the furthest corners of the planet, but sometimes in that process we lose contact with ourselves.

And one of my biggest surprises as a traveler has been to find that often it’s exactly the people who have most enabled us to get anywhere who are intent on going nowhere. In other words, precisely those beings who have created the technologies that override so many of the limits of old, are the ones wisest about the need for limits, even when it comes to technology. I once went to the Google headquarters and I saw all the things many of you have heard about; the indoor tree houses, the trampolines, workers at that time enjoying 20 percent of their paid time free so that they could just let their imaginations go wandering.

But what impressed me even more was that as I was waiting for my digital I.D., one Googler was telling me about the program that he was about to start to teach the many, many Googlers who practice yoga to become trainers in it, and the other Googler was telling me about the book that he was about to write on the inner search engine , and the ways in which science has empirically shown that sitting still, or meditation, can lead not just to better health or to clearer thinking, but even to emotional intelligence.

I have another friend in Silicon Valley who is really one of the most eloquent spokesmen for the latest technologies, and in fact was one of the founders of Wired magazine, Kevin Kelly. And Kevin wrote his last book on fresh technologies without a smartphone or a laptop or a TV in his home. And like many in Silicon Valley, he tries really hard to observe what they call an Internet sabbath, whereby for 24 or 48 hours every week they go completely offline in order to gather the sense of direction and proportion they’ll need when they go online again. The one thing perhaps that technology hasn’t always given us is a sense of how to make the wisest use of technology.

And when you speak of the sabbath, look at the Ten Commandments –there’s only one word there for which the adjective “holy” is used, and that’s the Sabbath. I pick up the Jewish holy book of the Torah — its longest chapter, it’s on the Sabbath. And we all know that it’s really one of our greatest luxuries, the empty space. In many a piece of music, it’s the pause or the rest that gives the piece its beauty and its shape. And I know I as a writer will often try to include a lot of empty space on the page so that the reader can complete my thoughts and sentences and so that her imagination has room to breathe.

Now, in the physical domain, of course, many people, if they have the resources, will try to get a place in the country, a second home. I’ve never begun to have those resources, but I sometimes remember that any time I want, I can get a second home in time, if not in space, just by taking a day off. And it’s never easy because, of course, whenever I do I spend much of it worried about all the extra stuff that’s going to crash down on me the following day. I sometimes think I’d rather give up meat or sex or wine than the chance to check on my emails. (Laughter) And every season I do try to take three days off on retreat but a part of me still feels guilty to be leaving my poor wife behind and to be ignoring all those seemingly urgent emails from my bosses and maybe to be missing a friend’s birthday party. But as soon as I get to a place of real quiet, I realize that it’s only by going there that I’ll have anything fresh or creative or joyful to share with my wife or bosses or friends. Otherwise, really, I’m just foisting on them my exhaustion or my distractedness, which is no blessing at all.

And so when I was 29, I decided to remake my entire life in the light of going nowhere. One evening I was coming back from the office, it was after midnight, I was in a taxi driving through Times Square, and I suddenly realized that I was racing around so much I could never catch up with my life. And my life then, as it happened, was pretty much the one I might have dreamed of as a little boy. I had really interesting friends and colleagues, I had a nice apartment on Park Avenue and 20th Street. I had, to me, a fascinating- job writing about world affairs, but I could never separate myself enough from them to hear myself think — or really, to understand if I was truly happy.

And so, I abandoned my dream life for a single room on the backstreets of Kyoto, Japan, which was the place that had long exerted a strong, really mysterious gravitational pull on me. Even as a child I would just look at a painting of Kyoto and feel I recognized it; I knew it before I ever laid eyes on it. But it’s also, as you all know, a beautiful city encircled by hills, filled with more than 2,000 temples and shrines, where people have been sitting still for 800 years or more. And quite soon after I moved there, I ended up where I still am with my wife, formerly our kids, in a two-room apartment in the middle of nowhere where we have no bicycle, no car, no TV I can understand, and I still have to support my loved ones as a travel writer and a journalist, so clearly this is not ideal for job advancement or for cultural excitement or for social diversion. But I realized that it gives me what I prize most, which is days and hours.

I have never once had to use a cell phone there. I almost never have to look at the time, and every morning when I wake up, really the day stretches in front of melike an open meadow. And when life throws up one of its nasty surprises, as it will, more than once, when a doctor comes into my room wearing a grave expression, or a car suddenly veers in front of mine on the freeway, I know, in my bones, that it’s the time I’ve spent going nowhere that is going to sustain me much more than all the time I’ve spent racing around to Bhutan or Easter Island.

I’ll always be a traveler — my livelihood depends on it — but one of the beauties of travel is that it allows you to bring stillness into the motion and the commotion of the world. I once got on a plane in Frankfurt, Germany, and a young German woman came down and sat next to me and engaged me in a very friendly conversation for about 30 minutes, and then she just turned around and sat still for 12 hours. She didn’t once turn on her video monitor, she never pulled out a book, she didn’t even go to sleep, she just sat still, and something of her clarity and calm really imparted itself to me.

I’ve noticed more and more people taking conscious measures these days to try to open up a space inside their lives. Some people go to black-hole resorts where they’ll spend hundreds of dollars a night in order to hand over their cell phone and their laptop to the front desk on arrival. Some people I know, just before they go to sleep, instead of scrolling through their messages or checking out YouTube, just turn out the lights and listen to some music, and notice that they sleep much better and wake up much refreshed.

I was once fortunate enough to drive into the high, dark mountains behind Los Angeles, where the great poet and singer and international heartthrob Leonard Cohen was living and working for many years as a full-time monk in the Mount Baldy Zen Center. And I wasn’t entirely surprised when the record that he released at the age of 77, to which he gave the deliberately un-sexy title of “Old Ideas,” went to number one in the charts in 17 nations in the world, hit the top five in nine others.

Something in us, I think, is crying out for the sense of intimacy and depth that we get from people like that. who take the time and trouble to sit still. And I think many of us have the sensation, I certainly do, that we’re standing about two inches away from a huge screen, and it’s noisy and it’s crowded and it’s changing with every second, and that screen is our lives. And it’s only by stepping back, and then further back, and holding still, that we can begin to see what the canvas means and to catch the larger picture. And a few people do that for us by going No-where.

So, in an age of acceleration, nothing can be more exhilarating than going slow. And in an age of distraction, nothing is so luxurious as paying attention. And in an age of constant movement, nothing is so urgent as sitting still. So you can go on your next vacation to Paris or Hawaii, or New Orleans; I bet you’ll have a wonderful time. But, if you want to come back home alive and full of fresh hope, in love with the world, I think you might want to try considering going No-where.

Thank you.

That isn’t to say, you cannot have hang-ups, just that you accept you are perfectly imperfect and accept you are the best you can be in the present time.

>>>Learn self-love<<<
~ again, self-acceptance plays a big role in this. But to learn self-love is no easy challenge and you may have to keep repeating this lesson until it sticks. Self-love is treating ourselves kindly and with the same respect we treat others, to the best of our greatest good. If you are a naturally loving person, this may be easy for you. The trick is listening to your own inner dialogue and keeping it on a positive note. You may also what to step away from yourself ocassionally to make sure you are treating yourself and your body kindly and lovingly.

>>>Stop worrying!<<<
~ the biggest lesson most us humans have is trusting ourselves and the world around us. Not that hard to believe given the current state of the world and all the conditioned templates we have. But working towards the motto, ‘EVERYTHING IS GOING EXACTLY HOW IT SHOULD BE AND IN DIVINE ACCORDANCE WITH YOUR GREATER GOOD’, will get you there. Surrendering to the divine is hard when you aren’t trusting what’s within and above you. Everything will work out and if it doesn’t, it’s to teach you something you must learn. To not fully trust is to not fully Surrender.

>>>Follow your dreams and be YOU<<<
~ to be One with the creator, is to be true to yourself. Find your soul purpose and live it. Even if you do not know what it is but have a vague idea…follow that. Do not think you are, know you are.

>>>Shadow-work your ass off!!! <<<
~ Do the inner work. Trust me, it makes life easier. Yes, it’s painful and not nice but it will clear a path for the Source/Creator to communicate better with you. Heal old wounds, forgive, change what you do not like inwards and outwards…heal.

>>>Let go – yes, let everything go.<<<
~ Do not hold on. Follow the flow of life. Disattach and reattach but never stay attached.

>>>Believe in what YOU Know<<<
~ this means to stand in your truth. Never mind what others think or say or do…it’s not important. What’s important is to stay true to you and be in power of your own life.

>>>Learn to love others<<<
~ with all your heart. Love, love, love. Do not expect a return, just love regardless. Expectation is where people fail. Love has no conditions, expecting a return of love IS A CONDITION. Learn unconditional love with no ‘reward’ or ‘exchange’ and you will find that it flows and returns to you so much quicker and smoothly.

>>>Be non-judgemental and do not be scared of being judged<<<
~ this is also an issue with us humans due to the pesky ego. Find self, you will realise no opinions of others matter and niether do yours. Those that do matter, don’t mind and those that do mind, don’t matter.

>>>Remember money doesn’t make you rich <<<
~ stop trying to get that bigger car, bigger house, better-paid job because, quite frankly, it doesn’t matter. Money doesn’t have a home in the realms of Our Lord. Richness comes from gratitude for what we already have and what others express to us.

>>>Moaning will hold you back<<<
~ even when things get painful or uncomfortable, remember there’s a reason for it and live in that reason rather than trying to escape it. Learn from it. Be grateful for the lessons that come your way. Surrender to the path you are taking.

>>>Surrender to yourself!!!<<<
~ surrendering to God is a two-way street as we are God…well, anchors of His, so Surrendering to ourselves is Surrendering to the Creator in a way. Learn this. You are what you eat, you are what you think, you are what you surround yourself with.

~ this I cannot stress enough. Meditation builds a better relationship to the Divine, even if you cannot feel it just yet. Take note, that when you meditate, you have a clear line to The Source and ‘His’ Divine counterparts.

It’s just a few tips, to learn more you can ask on the forums or Google information.

This info isn’t fact, it’s what I have learnt and what I am learning so take what resonates with you but do not take it as truth – my truth is different from your own and I’m not by any means trying to walk you down a path I do not belong and have no right to do in the first place. I just want to help at least one person become a better individual. If I do that, then I’m doing my job as it takes just one person to change the world and that, my friends, could well be you. <3

In Some Moments, The SEED OF LOVE NEEDS A WHILE TO BLOSSOM ~ as in A Father’s “GIft”.

‘Gift’ is a must watch short film (7m30s) that has a profound, heart-touching message about the importance of giving, and the true value of wealth.
It’s a beautiful depiction of how we deeply touch others when we selflessly give our time, love and kindness.

“Gift” is about a boy who grew up not liking his father because he believed he was poor, unintelligent and unsuccessful, but his father had a secret.

It was only until after his father’s death he discovers the true reach of his father’s generosity towards others and the joy and laughter he brought to others.
He finally understands his father’s message to him as a boy, that

“being rich is not about how much you have,
but how much you can give.”

No more to be said.
The video says it all.
You watch, You win!
You pass, You miss.

Your choice!

LOVE your MOTHER EARTH with Medicine Water Wheel Ceremonies

“The Water Wheel Ceremony Project”
lead by Paiute Elder Marshall Golden Eagle Jack.

The existing local conditions:

The CITY OF SEDONA, a government corporation, currently discharges its waste-water in to a couple ponds and then pumps the water across the 4 lane divided highway to a couple hundred acres of “city owned” land. This effluent is then sprayed upon the vegetation. This toxic effluent carries into the winds where at times that stretch of highway occasionally smells like an overstocked dairy cattle yard, and being taken into the lungs of all the passers-by. This effluent is then carried by the rains and winds to Oak Creek where it flows thru other communities of the valley and flows into the Verde River.

This effluent, governmentally called Bio-Mass before the marketing name change from “sewer sludge”, is comprised of water, crap, urine, and toxins including pesticides, pharmaceuticals, commercial and household chemicals, GMOs, Roundup-Ready glyphosate and other deathly residues, etc.

How do I know this material is toxic? …I see many cedar trees and other vegetation in process of dying. The deep and light evergreen cedars are turning yellow in patches on many of these trees. Evergreens do not do that, unless they are moving toward death! For about 60 years, I have lived in upper Midwest and in the West from Arizona to Washington and Colorado to the Pacific and NEVER witnessed this type of intensity this way anywhere else.

The CITY OF SEDONA’s current and only projected solution is to drill 6 wells into Mother Earth and pump the water there, where in moving thru the various fissures and fractures in the hard and soft rock, etc, it may contaminate aquifers, underground rivers, steams and public and private wells, etc. With such thinking and types of actions, our waters are continually polluted to the point where water is no longer safe & clean for consumption, even poisoning our crops as they grow into poisoned foods. When the city was asked where the toxic watered down sewer sludge was going that was pumped into the wells, the response was that they did not know.

Similar attitudes and “ignore-ance” is taking place across our Home, Mother Earth, and with most very high probability in YOUR COMMUNITIES too!

How we can assist in
BEing the Change we choose to see?

Paiute Elder Marshall “Golden Eagle” Jack
is on a Mission and has been shown the vision to assist
and we can ALL play an active, important and easy part in it!

An Answer toward a Solution:

Lead by Paiute Elder Marshall “Golden Eagle” Jack, on November 23, 2014 about 33 of us gathered at a ceremonial site synchronisitically located near the Sedona waste water facility to create and set in place the healing energy intention for clean waters, here and for the fullness of our “Spaceship Earth”, as Buckminster Fuller states it.

Golden Eagle is unique in his style of combing Love, Humor, Laughter, Practicality, Knowledge, Inner Perspective, Grace, Ease, Sincerity, and Sacredness.

In our Medicine Wheel Water Ceremony, thru the Grace of the Great Spirit and efforts by many cultures, some being indigenous from each continent, water from over 30 countries and 1,100 sources within the States and Canada were joined in sacred ceremony. This was quite a moving experience for all present. We witnessed as Dr. Masaru Emoto states:

“The Power of Love and Gratitude made visible.”

The Water Wheel Ceremony Project

“Bringing together collective intention and consciousness to
benefit our children’s waters 500 years into the future.”

The Vision: “is to create a web of 172, 000 Water Wheels (medicine wheels) linked together across the planet that serves to renew our sacred relationship with water.”

Paiute Elder Marshall “Golden Eagle” Jack estimates
that as of November 2014
about 5,000 Medicine Water Wheels have been created.
Out of the 60 he had personally lead to that date,
he stated that about 35-ish
“had rain immediately upon closing the Ceremony,
with other ceremonies rain followed within days, a week or so.”
Not all ceremonies are to bring water, but to purify water,
as was the case in the Sedona ceremony.

How Does it Work?”

{From the Water Wheel Ceremony site link above.

“A Water Wheel is the sacred geometry design you see above.
It is based on a Native American medicine wheel.
Its purpose is to energize, celebrate, and honor water.
It is also a place to deepen our relationship with
the spirit of water.

“A Water Wheel can be a personal altar in your home (Water Wheel Kit), or the design can be laid on the earth like a medicine wheel using corn meal, flowers, or stones.
“Seven clear quartz crystals activate six points
around the circle and the center and
transmit healing energy to and from the wheel.

“Water Wheels are activated by our thoughts, intentions, and clear quartz crystals to create an energy field, or vortex of consciousness, for energizing water.
“Water Wheels get our thoughts of love, gratitude, and appreciation, which have been scientifically proven to transform the very structure of water, flowing to water.
“The more love and energy the Water Wheel receives from us, the more energy goes out to help our source waters… from which all living things are fed.”

{This is NOT “hocus pocus” or New Age gobbledygook.
This is proven so in Quantum Physics.
The power of Group Intentioning has dropped crime rates

I dreamed I saw a mighty room
The room was filled with men
And the paper they were signing said
They’d never fight again

And when the papers all were signed
And a million copies made
They all joined hands and bowed their heads
And grateful prayers were prayed
And the people in the streets below
Were dancing round and round
And guns and swords and uniforms
Were scattered on the ground

Last night I had the strangest dream
I ever dreamed before
I dreamed the world had all agreed
To put an end to war

“FIRST, DO NO HARM” is a direct quote from the Hippocratic Oath… See this excellent Meryl Streep movie

“First Do No Harm” follows a family, based on Seth Adkins Life, thru their Life experiences with an Autistic Epicleptic Child, Seth Adkin’s real story.   His Mother’s & Family’s & Friends’ sevice, dedication, support, and determination in this very impactful story of Love with their struggle to cope with heart-wrenching cirumstances and
heart expanding situations, like questioning the quality of a person’s Life and/or a family’s Life.

There are over 300,000 Epileptic Children in the USA alone
according to the Epileptic Foundation.

that regrets having given it  a try.
{“It” = Ketogenic Diet}

~ Millicent Kelly remains at the John Hopkins Hospital today
She was a Ketogenic Diet Consultant for 40-ish YEARS

There are 4 actors in this movie who had Epilepsy and did the KETOGENIC DIET.

They have been SIEZURE FREE FOR OVER 125 YEARS, combined!!!

They returned to normal diets after periods of 3-5ish years on the KETO diet
and live normal lives.

>>>   See if you can spot who they are   ;>)    <<<

“FIRST, Do No Harm” is a direct quote from the Hippocratic Oath that physicians used t0 take upon graduation and entering into the medical field.

I am unsure if medical doctor take/make and keep the Hippocratic Oath in “the business practice” of pharmaceutical “medicine”.  About 10 years ago I was told they did not.

“Introducing Peace Pilgrim…

YOU MAY SEE HER walking through your town or along the highway— a silver haired woman dressed in navy blue slacks and shirt, and a short tunic with pockets all around the bottom in which she carries her only worldly possessions. It says “PEACE PILGRIM” on the front of the tunic and “25,000 Miles On Foot for Peace” on the back. She has walked the 25,000 miles  [before she stopped counting].

She continues to walk for her vow is: “I shall remain a wanderer until mankind has learned the way of peace, walking until given shelter and fasting until I am given food.” She walks without a penny in her pockets and she is not affiliated with any organization. She walks as a prayer and as a chance to inspire others to pray and work with her for peace.

She speaks to individuals along the way, to gatherings such as church groups or college groups, through newspapers, magazines, radio, television— relating interesting and meaningful experiences, discussing peace within and with out. She feels we have learned that war is not the way to peace — that security does not lie in the stockpile of bombs. She points out that this is a crisis period in human history, and that we who live in the world today must choose between a nuclear war of annihilation and a golden age of peace. Although she does not ask to see results, thousands of letters testify that her journey has not been in vain— saying in effect, “Since talking with you I’ve decided that I should be doing something for peace also.”

(This message was printed on a brief leaflet, a few copies of which Peace Pilgrim carried in her tunic in order to introduce herself.)”   ~ Reprinted from “PEACE PILGRIM ~ Her Life and Work in Her Own Words”  ISBN 0-943734-01-0   Compiled by some of her friends.

She began walking in 1952 and continued until she could walk no more, into the 1980s. Her work continues thru “Friends of Peace Pilgrim”,, P.O. Box 2207 Shelton Conneticutt 06484 ~ 203.926.1581

Little did Peace Pilgrim know that war upon the planet was orchestrated by an international group of Banksters who bribed governments and power seekers to follow their dictates or be eliminated or have their families tortured and/or murdered, or maybe she did!  {See the works of John Perkins “Confessions of an Economic Hitman” and more, such as General Smedley Butler in “War is Hell” as they and others blow the whistle on the CIA, IMF, The World Bank, and various governments and corporations.}

 Aside from this,

A few of her quotes….

“Remember that one who does an unworthy deed
is in reality psychologically sick,
and should be regarded with as much compassion
as one who is physically sick.

Remember that no one can hurt you except yourself.
If someone does a mean thing to you, that person is hurt.
You are not really hurt unless you become embittered,
or unless you become angry
and perhaps do a mean thing in return.”

“ONCE I WAS ASKED, “What do peace pilgrims do?”
A peace pilgrim prays and works for peace within and without.
A peace pilgrim accepts the way of love as the way of peace,
and to depart from the way of love
is to depart from the way of a peace pilgrim…”

“Every good thing you do,
every good thing you say,
every good thought you think,
vibrates on and on and never ceases.
The evil remains only until it is overcome by the good,
but the good remains forever.”

“Little people of the world, let us never feel helpless again.
Let us remember that if enough of us ask together
even very big things like world disarmament
and world peace will be granted.

Let’s ask together!”

“Remember this:
Be still and know that I am God.

Don’t ever forget who you are!
You cannot be where God is not.”

“Looking thru the eyes of the Divine Nature
you see the Essence within the manifestation,
the Creator within the creation,
and it is a wonderful, wonderful world!”

Thank You Peace Pilgrim for your Life’s grand examples.

Would You Think It Odd?

Would You think it odd if Hafiz said,

“I am in love with every church
And mosque
And temple
And any kind of shrine

Because I know it is there
That people say the different names
Of the ONE God.”

Would You tell your friends
I was a bit strange if I admitted

I am indeed in love with every mind
and heart and body.

O I am sincerely
Plumb crazy
About your every thought and yearning
And Limb

Because, my dear,
I know
That it is through these

That you search for Him.

~ Hafiz

Daniel Ladinsky has translated much of Hafiz’s work.
Three such books are “I Heard God Laughing”,  “The Gift” and “The Subject Tonight Is Love”.

The great poet and writer
Ralph Waldo Emerson stated:
“Hafiz is the Poet’s Poet.
… If I could be anyone,
I would choose to be Hafiz.”

I really In-Joy Hafiz.  He is a Persian poet of the 1300s. He was of a family of meager means. Hafiz was a baker’s apprentice to assist his family financially and to put himself thru some schooling/training in various areas. But the most of his learnings and knowings came from his daily life experiences of which a big part was of the quiet time of going inward and communicating with the Source of Creation, whom he often refers to as “Friend” and “Beloved”. Ladinsky uses the word God frequently, I do not know if it is Hafiz or Ladinsky who used this word often for the “Being” called “God”. Hafiz surely uses other terms. as well. It is through his connection With-In that Hafiz’s KNOWINGs came forth and his witnessing that we truly are One with the Creative Source.  …One Humanity, One Planet, One Consciousness, One Creative Source, One LOVE!

LOVE is all there is!

“…all whom I see do I love, for I am all I see and I love what I am.”

[ When I read this I was so moved by it that I felt I am to share it here with You! ]

“…Man is becoming to come out of limitation because there are many upon your plane who are questioning their lives and why they are slaves to the hypocrisy of government, of dogma, of society, and where in turn they lead. They are beginning to love themselves and others enough to see beyond the film of limited consciousness and to rise above it. They are awakening to the understanding that there is an essence that lies within them and within all people that is gentle, loving, and wise. They are beginning to realize that all of the prophecies  — and all of the tales and all of the fears – that have governed mankind for so long have not manifested; they have out lived them all. They are questioning who they are and why, if there are to love God, must they be frightened of him.

Consciousness on this plane is changing. The limitations of understanding which have caused man to be a beastly creature, generation after generation, after generation, are being lifted to permit man to be the sublime God essence that he is.

It is time to have a new learning occur, which is really not new at all. Deep within your soul, you will know what the truth is because the truth will permit you to see beyond the stagnation of dogmatic beliefs into the heaven of thought and understanding that has been there all along. As the rope is removed from around your throat, and the feelings of joy begin to surface and become eminent within her this magnificent God that you are, in state of being.

This age of your is ending. This has been the Age of Flesh. The new age is already on the horizon, and it is called the Age of Light, The Age of Pure Spirit, The Age of God. It is the age when man knows that all are equal and that the kingdom of heaven has always been within him. The Age of Light shall take man back into unlimited thought, back into a sublime kingdom of love and joy and freedom in being. Those who will be the new kingdom will not be the warlords and tyrants amongst men but the heralds of peace who are rising above the stagnation of limitation to say, ”I am God, and all whom I see do I love, for I am all I see and I love what I am.” Each who comes to that understanding will lift the whole of consciousness by his one solitary light. And one by one, you will return to a state of unlimitedness, rich with the pearls of wisdom that will allow you to create more wisely in the eternity to come.

Your lives upon this plane have been a grand illusion. They have been a great dream. But you will emerge from the dream learned, understanding God. Everyone will. One day you will glance up to a sky that has become very cloudy. As you look into your heavens, you will see a blaze of brilliant lights flickering all around, and you will think the stars themselves have come to nestle with the clouds. What you will see is what all mankind is going to see. It will help you to awaken from your slumber and realize that all I am teaching you is indeed a grand truth and a wonderful [ONEderful ;>)] reality…”      from Ramtha, The White Book, Chapter 19, Opening the Mind, pages 202 & 203.

My Sweet Crushed Angel ~ Hafiz poetry

My Sweet Crushed Angel

You have not danced so badly, my dear,
Trying to hold hands with the Beautiful One.

You have waltzed with great style,
My sweet, crushed Angel,
To have ever neared God’s Heart at all.

Our Partner is notoriously difficult to follow,
And even His best musicians are not always easy
To hear.

So what if the muisic has stopped for a while.

So what
If the price of admission to the Divine
Is out of reach tonight.

So what, my dear,
If you do not have the ante to gamble for Real Love.

The mind and the body are famous
For holding the heart ransom,
But Hafiz knows the Beloved’s eternal habits.

Have Patience,

For He will not be able to resist your longing
For long.

You have not danced so badly, my dear,
Trying to kiss the Beautiful One.

You have actually waltzed with tremendous style,
O my sweet,
O my sweet, crushed angel.

~ Hafiz

… & How Dirt Heals Us!

…The Prime Ingredient is LOVE!

My Love Affair with Soil (some call it dirt) came upon me, like Mother Earth’s many Lovers, came to me as a child… working in the black fresh garden soils, and in the neighborhood fields digging in the dirt creating holes for various fun activities in the varying brown sub-layers after removing the wild grass and weed clumps of deep black humus. The humus always had a pleasant and fond, almost intoxicating, aroma for me. It was teeming full with roots, bugs, worms …all of various and interesting sizes, shapes. and textures. Unknown to me at the time was the various multitude of the microbiotic Unseen Universe within which fostered and nurtured all that abundance.

Allow me to share with You some of what I have learned since then as my Love with soil was enhanced. I’ll begin with some statements by Dr Daphne Miller who sums up some of my learnings in her own words. She is a family physician, writer, and associate professor at U.C. San Francisco. Her latest book is “Farmocology: What Innovative Family Farming Can Teach Us About Heath and Healing”.

{Emphasis added in bolding, italics, underling, or words in these brackets { } are that of the blog poster, L’iv}

by Dr. Daphne Miller M.D.

This is the title to a “YES!” magazine article from Winter 2014 (pages 26-28)

“Whether it is homegrown or from a local farm,
I do mention to my patients that they should think twice
before peeling or scrubbing their farm bounty.
After all, who knows what beneficial bacteria
might be coming along for the ride

Dr. Miller goes on to say: “… this is because I’m discovering just how much this rich dark substance influences the day–to-day health of my patients, I’m even beginning to wonder whether Hippocrates was wrong, or at least somewhat misguided, when he proclaimed, “Let food be thy medicine.” Don’t get me wrong — food is important to our health. But it might be the soil where our food is grown,  than the food itself, that offers us the real medicine.”

“…I now tell my patients that food grown in well-treated {with microbial cultures of Mother Earth, rather than chemical fertilizers} soil might offer distinct advantages when it comes to scoring the best nutrients and building a healthy immune system.”

Most, not all of “…the healthiest farms …can’t afford organic certification who are implementing the practices of eco-farming, practices that have been shown to produce a rich soil and a thriving microbial population.” {USDA Certification costs are upward of $27,000 per year. The USDA Secretary of Agriculture, Tom Vilsak, was among the first Governors to approve the use of Genetically Modified Organism, (“GMO”), and in 2005 as Governor of Iowa he signed Bill 642 which banned local from regulating the planting of GMO seeds and crops. In 2001 the Biotechnology Industry organization named him “Governor Of The Year” and as an Iowa Senator, Vilsak promoted, and still does promote, the business of Monsanto, Dupont, ConAgra and destructive policies and practices of Big Agra, which kill off the healthy microbes in the soil, in favor of toxic chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, and anti-biotics that have severely eliminated the former high quality and condition of our soil, hence the animal and plant life on Mother Earth, hence our food, hence or bodies.}

Dr. Miller also states in the article “Does the farmer live on the farm? Farmers who live on their land and feed their family from it tend to care fore their soil as if it were a family member. Going to farmers markets and joining CSA (community supported agriculture) are reliable ways to get this type of produce, and supermarkets are beginning to support local farmers. Remember, the more we demand it, the more they will carry it. …Of course, another option is to grow your own food. Eating fresh grown food from healthy soil is not an all or nothing proposition, and even a daily handful of herbs from a container garden can have positive impact on our health.”

How We Can Bring Our Soil
Back To Vibrant Health

As I and time moved along from my Grandparents’ garden of the 1950’s, the quality of the soils and foods declined. This is predominantly due to our “mainstream agricultural practices such as:

• Ignoring the way Nature does her marvelous and seemingly magical creation. and allowing Human egos THINKING THEY KNOWS BETTER than the Creative Source of All.

• Plowing – exposing soil sun, winds, run-off rains, etc. by removing the nurturing protective cover of various vegetation (weeds, grasses, wildflowers, etc.) thru plowing. Plowing leaves the soil exposed from harvest until the next crop is planted. Even thru this spring planting, awaiting harvest, much of the soil between crops and rows of crops is left exposed. Proper ground covers between these are essential for vibrant soil.

• One crop (monoculture) mega-farms do not allow for the essential mix of truly natural ingredients offered in diverse vegetation plantings.

• Burning of plant life in the fields is a waste of resources, rather than mowing/cutting and allow them to put their nutients and microbes back into the soil. ..Or even removing them to compost in other areas.

• Fungicides, pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, fabricated or conditioned fertilizers and minerals, etc. CAN NEVER DO WHT NATURE DOES BEST.

It was in 1981 that I was able to again move strongly into my research and implementation of principles of naturally nurturing the soils in my gardening and farming delights. Of my continuing Life’s LOVE’s is having my hands deep in the dark microbe rich soils, or catching a fruit as it is released from its tree at the moment of full ripeness.

I could go on and on and on with this topic, so I will keep it in a very brief outline with some commentary and a few live links, to get you started.

In general:
>>> Nothing works as well as Nature’s ways…letting the Creative Force take care of it’s own. If man has to do something, let it be to mimic what truly goes on in process by Nature’s intentions and effects.

>>> This inner-related and integrated processes of Mulching, Composting, Biodynamics and Permaculture all produce what is called “Humus” (a dark brown/black-ish organic component of soil that is derived from decomposed plant and animal remains and animal excrement) which if full of healthy microbes for the full food chain. Protect and regenerate this precious essential component of healthy soil.

>>> KNOW YOUR SOURCES OF MATERIALS AND USE ONLY TRUSTED AND VERIFIED SOURCES. There are various chemicals present in dyes, inks, “mainstream” agricultural products, fertilizers, insecticides and pesticides, that kill the Humus and other necessary life forms such as birds, bees, insects, worms, good bacteria, etc.

>>> NEVER USE GENETICALLY MODIFIED MATERIALS as that DNA will be absorb in what You are doing and eventually, through the food chain move into your plant materials, then into your food and body.

>>> BE CAUTIOUS about getting vegetation clippings and other materials from public areas, or government and commercial areas, such as shopping centers and office complexes and apartment buildings/complexes, as the maintenance crews are probably using Monsanto Round-Up or other deadly herbicides and pesticide.

One purpose of mulching is to cover the ground to keep the sun from coming in and thus hindering grass and plant growth to happen. Moisture occurs under the mulch as decomposing happens. Leaves and other vegetation are used for this. Paper, cardboard, jute bags (usually from coffee, rice, beans, etc.) need to be used with caution as they may contain toxic chemicals from dyes, inks, fertilizers, etc. Refrain from plastics, paper and cardboards if You are seeking “organic”/ natural mulch. Plastics will leach chemicals. Done in Nature’s ways, mulch over time will become superbly microbe enriched.

Composting is quite easy, and depending on the method(s) You use to break down your table wastes and other vegetation wastes. Some methods of composting require turning the compost occasionally as the interior heat builds up with the dissolving of matter and creation of certain unseen microbes. Remember to keep your “non-chemical” wastes separate from foods that are from using chemical fertilizers. If you do not know, then ask questions of someone who does. The “chemical compost” can be used on non-edible shrubs & flowers, however, you may chose to throw it out with the trash TO AVOID KILLING OFF as animals, worms and microbes will be ingesting the chemicals from such compost.

Worm Farming:
I recommend that You combine composting with worm farming. Here’s a video of a fellow just getting started in worm farming with some suggestions from his worm guru. It has some good pointers. NOTE: There is a 1min15sec screen read at the beginning of this 14m 05sec video. . There are several other videos on This link will take You to a supplier:

I have seen a plastic apparatus that was 4-5 levels high (about 3 1/2 feet tall) that some folks would put out on their porch in the summer and in their kitchen in the cold months to keep the worms from freezing. IOt is very clean and efficient! The kitchen sorted leftovers would be added into a bin which is above the bin the worms are currently feeding in. As they complete their feastin below, the worms climb up to the next level to get at it. They leave behind the lower bin which they just filled with worm castings, complete with nutritional microbes, etc for the soil. The other bins were are for stacking. It’s so clean and convenient to have it remain inside or on the porch until it is desirable to empty the casting bins, except the one the worms were currently active in, of course. ;>)

A great source is the Biodynamic Farming and Gardening Institute. RE-thinking Agriculture
From their website:
“Biodynamic farmers strive to create a diversified, balanced farm ecosystem that generates health and fertility as much as possible from within the farm itself. Preparations made from fermented manure, minerals and herbs are used to help restore and harmonize the vital life forces of the farm and to enhance the nutrition, quality and flavor of the food being raised. Biodynamic practitioners also recognize and strive to work in cooperation with the subtle influences of the wider cosmos on soil, plant and animal health.”

“Biodynamic Origins – In the early 1920s, a group of practicing farmers, concerned with the decline in the health of soils, plants and animals, sought the advice of Rudolf Steiner, founder of anthroposophy, who had spent all his life researching and investigating the subtle forces within nature. From a series of lectures and conversations held at Koberwitz, Germany (now in Poland) in June 1924, there emerged the fundamental principles of biodynamic farming and gardening, a unified approach to agriculture that relates the ecology of the farm-organism to that of the entire cosmos. This approach has been under development in many parts of the world ever since. Dr. Ehrenfried Pfeiffer, who worked with Dr. Steiner during the formative period, brought biodynamic concepts to the United States in the 1930s. It was during this period that the Biodynamic Farming and Gardening Association was founded in 1938.”

What is Biodynamics?
Why Biodynamics is important?:

The mission of the Josephine Porter Institute (JPI) is to heal the earth through production of quality biodynamic preparations, and to advance education and research in biodynamic methods. We are dedicated to supporting farmers and gardeners in their practice of biodynamics.”

“The word “permaculture” was coined and popularized in the mid 70’s by David Holmgren, a young Australian ecologist, and his associate / professor, Bill Mollison. It is a contraction of “permanent agriculture” or “permanent culture.” Permaculture is about designing ecological human habitats and food production systems. It is a land use and community building movement which strives for the harmonious integration of human dwellings, microclimate, annual and perennial plants, animals, soils, and water into stable, productive communities. The focus is not on these elements themselves, but rather on the relationships created among them by the way we place them in the landscape. This synergy is further enhanced by mimicking patterns found in nature.

“A central theme in permaculture is the design of ecological landscapes that produce food. Emphasis is placed on multi-use plants, cultural practices such as sheet mulching and trellising, and the integration of animals to recycle nutrients and graze weeds. However, permaculture entails much more than just food production. Energy-efficient buildings, waste water treatment, recycling, and land stewardship in general are other important components of permaculture.

“Permaculture has expanded its purview to include economic and social structures that support the evolution and development of more permanent communities, such as co-housing projects and eco-villages. As such, permaculture design concepts are applicable to urban as well as rural settings, and are appropriate for single households as well as whole farms and villages. “Integrated farming” and “ecological engineering” are terms sometimes used to describe permaculture, with “cultivated ecology” perhaps coming the closest.” ~ The above 3 paragraphs are from:

The Prime Ingredient is LOVE!

The “Findhorn Garden” story provides us with the utmost ingredient to fostering healthy vibrant foods and soils. It is the Magic of LOVE!

Around 1982, I read the original book about their experiences, “The Findhorn Garden” by Dorothy Maclean, a co-founding resident/ participant, tells of her experiences, along with those of the other co-founders, Peter and Eileen Caddy (and their young children). She relates wonderous adventures and experiences of those early years in the Creation of the original Findhorn Garden community. “The Findhorn Garden”, originally published in the 1970s, is still out of print the last time I checked. The garden’s harvests were, and continue to be, amazing in quality, quantity, and size of the vegetables, fruits and herbs.

When asked how they were able to grow this in the sandbar, they answered LOVE!
LOVE as they tilled the soil,
LOVE as they planted and watered the seeds.
LOVE as they received their harvest.

Over time, the sands of the coastline transitioned into healthy microbial garden soils. and now their and several adjacent communities of hundreds, perhaps thousands of kindred spirits. View to get a capsule of what went on.

Nothing I have read since that original book by Dorothy captures how LOVE transformed a sandbar on the North Atlantic coast of Scotland to a bountiful prosperous community of “Guardians” for the soil and plant kingdoms”.

In tribute & exposure to the geodesic guy… R. Buckminster “Bucky” Fuller,

Bucky gives his answer to

“Why is there Love?”

Richard Buckminster “Bucky” Fuller is “A Leonardo DaVinci of our times”, A Chief Evolutionary Officer* (see below), Creator, Thinker, Humanitarian, Lover & Protector of Mother Earth, Architect, Engineer, Philosopher, Social Observationist, Inspirer of Change, Aspirant for Humanity, Unifier of Human Spirit and Thought, Author, Poet, Educator, Professor, Inventor, Founder of what we now call “sustainability”, and more.

When asked, “Why is there Love?”

Bucky’s answer Is:

“Love is there to serve mankind.
Love is the guiding principle of cosmological evolution.
Love is the bounding energy.
Love is the guiding geometric principle.
Love is mankind’s manifestation of nature’s omni-directional integration.
Love is Nature’s healing generator.
Love is Nature’s steel. It is the link of infinite tensile strength.

“Man’s creation of steel [occurred] through the
synergistic union ofindividual iron ore components
defined in three-dimensional space
by Nature’s cosmological divine principle
ordering to create a new stronger substance,
here-to-fore nonexistent on earth
and with greater tensile strength
than had previously been possible.
And thus allowing the evolution of modern society
through air travel, sky scrapers and the like,
was for humanity, a beginning of another chapter
of Nature’s love story of evolution –
creating greater and greater links of physical and
mental and spiritual connectivity to propel humanity
consciously on the same magic carpet ride
that the invention of tensile strength superior steel
has done for the modern age
Love is the steel of the new millennium.”
~ R. Buckminster Fuller

*CEO Chief Executive Evolutionary Officer, Leaders Mapping The Future.” August T. Jaccaci & Susan B. Gault, 1999. The directly above and below quotes came from this CEO book, respecitively (p28&29, p6&7).}

“Regardless of your leadership position or location, if you are beginning your learning and self-defining as an evolutionary, we call You a Chief Evolutionary Officer because:

“You are the chief of your own soul
and its worldly service in an ever-growing council of chiefs
caring for the evolution of life on earth.

“You are an
officer in your willingness to carry the responsibility of learning to lead us
into enduring partnership with the natural order of successful and fulfilling evolution.

“You are an evolutionary because
You make evolve an active verb.
You work to develop and bring forth a higher order of natural grace and well-being for all life.
By seeking to evolve yourself, You help to evolve with others
their visions, values, situations, and organizations
whenever quality of life is in question and
in a state of potential for the enhancement for healthy evolution.”

In case You are unfamiliar with Bucky Fuller, allow me to first present a small glimpse of this most Magnificent Being. I was fortunate to hear Bucky, then in his 80’s, speak twice, once each during my architectural studies and then again during my engineering studies.

“I’m not trying to counsel any of you to do anything really special except dare to think.
And to dare to go with the truth.
And to dare to really love completely.”

~ Richard Buckminster Fuller

“Never forget that you are one of a kind.
Never forget that if there weren’t any need for you in all your uniqueness to be on this earth,
you wouldn’t be here in the first place.
And never forget, no matter how overwhelming life’s challenges and problems seem to be,
that one person can make a difference in the world.
In fact, it is always because of one person that all the changes that matter in the world come about.
So be that one person. “
~ Richard Buckminster Fuller

He is an “Architect of the Universe” seeking to find the interfacing and balance of Humanity, Mother Earth, and the Cosmos. What a soulful and inspirational Being he is! He passed to the “other side”in 1983 at the age of 88. For more of a glimpse, at the end of this tribute, please refer to the several of his quotes (via & others) and over 30 books which include “Operating Manual for Spaceship Earth”, 1963. Three of my favorite quotes are are:

”You never change things by fighting the existing reality.
To change something,
build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.”

“There is nothing in a caterpillar
that tells you it’s going to be a butterfly.”

I seem to be a verb,
an evolutionary process,
an integral function of the universe.

~ R. Buckminster Fuller (1895 – 1983)

{Insert Dome Images}

Bucky is the creator of the Geodesic dome structure which opens over a large space utilizing very little material in metal tubes outer covering in exemplifying his Living Philosophy of “Less is More”.

{Insert Dymaxion Map & Globe Images}

His Dymaxion Map of the World has very little if any distortion of the north and south land and water masses to which normal 2 dimensional mapping makes Canada, Russia and Antarica look so humongous. This Dymaxion Map folds into the Dymaxion Globe keeping all land and water masses in truer perspective. I made it easy to see that WE ARE ONE large Earth island See image. This truth concept was developed into a Dymaxion Game of the World, which among other things/ concepts, tracked daily helpful use of resources.

With this truer layout of Mother Earth, he spoke to us (in the late 60s & early 70s) and showed us the global layout of a free solar energy collection and distribution system which collected the rays on the sunny side and sent them to the areas of needed electrical power. Bucky stated that it was unfortunate that this could not be built in our day and age as to the egoic energies of countries, world leaders, industrialists, and greed mongers who controlled the planet’s political and social systems.

Bucky is revolutionary for his time publicly making and “living” statements such as these:

“We should do away with the absolutely specious notion that everybody has to earn a living.
It is a fact today that one in ten thousand of us can make a technological breakthrough capable of supporting all the rest.
“The youth of today are absolutely right in recognizing this nonsense of earning a living.
We keep inventing jobs because of this false idea
that everybody has to be employed at some kind of drudgery
because, according to Malthusian Darwinian theory
he must justify his right to exist.

“So we have inspectors of inspectors and people making
instruments for inspectors to inspect inspectors.

“The true business of people should be to go
back to school and think about
whatever it was they were thinking about

before somebody came along
and told them they had to earn a living.”
~ Richard Buckminster Fuller

“I figure…

”…that the people are now more deeply conscious
than ever before in history of the existence and
functioning principles of universal, inexorable physical laws;
of the pervading, quietly counseling truth
within each and every one of us;
of the power of love;
and–each man by himself–of his own developing,
dynamic relationship with his own conception
of the Almightiness of the All-Knowing.

”…that our contemporaries just don’t wear
their faith on their sleeves anymore.

”…that people have removed faith from their sleeves
because they found out for themselves
that faith is much too important for careless display.
Now they are willing to wait out the days and years for
the truthful events,encouraged individually from within;
and the more frequently the dramatic phrases advertising
love, patriotism, fervent belief, morals, and good fellowship
are plagiarized, appropriated and exhibited in the show windows of the world
by the propaganda whips for indirect and ulterior motives,
no matter how meager the compromise–
the more do people withdraw within themselves
and shun taking issue with the nauseating perversions,
though eternally exhibiting quiet indifference, nonchalance
or even cultivating seemingly ignorant acceptance.”

Bucky Quotes:

Dare to be naive. ~ R. Buckminster Fuller

Children are born true scientists. They spontaneously experiment and experience and reexperience again. They select, combine, and test, seeking to find order in their experiences – “which is the mostest? which is the leastest?” They smell, taste, bite, and touch-test for hardness, softness, springiness, roughness, smoothness, coldness, warmness: they heft, shake, punch, squeeze, push, crush, rub, and try to pull things apart. ~ R. Buckminster Fuller

I am the only guinea pig I have.

~ R. Buckminster Fuller (1895 – 1983)

Everything you’ve learned in school as “obvious” becomes less and less obvious as you begin to study the universe. For example, there are no solids in the universe. There’s not even a suggestion of a solid. There are no absolute continuums. There are no surfaces. There are no straight lines.

~ R. Buckminster Fuller

God is a verb. ~ R. Buckminster Fuller

When I’m working on a problem, I never think about beauty. I think only how to solve the problem. But when I have finished, if the solution is not beautiful, I know it is wrong.

Either war is obsolete or men are. ~ R. Buckminster Fuller, New Yorker, Jan. 8, 1966

Humanity is acquiring all the right technology for all the wrong reasons. ~ R. Buckminster Fuller

Nature is trying very hard to make us succeed, but nature does not depend on us. We are not the only experiment.

~ R. Buckminster Fuller, Interview, April 30, 1978

Now there is one outstandingly important fact regarding
Spaceship Earth, and that is, that no instruction book came with it.
~ R. Buckminster Fuller, Operating Manual for Spaceship Earth, 1963

Of course, our failures are a consequence of many factors,
but possibly one of the most important is the fact that
society operates on the theory that specialization is the key to
success, not realizing that
specialization precludes comprehensive thinking.
~ R. Buckminster Fuller, Operating Manual for Spaceship Earth, 1963

Sometimes I think we’re alone. Sometimes I think we’re not. In either case, the thought is staggering.
~ R. Buckminster Fuller

I live on Earth at present, and I don’t know what I am.
I know that I am not a category.
I am not a thing, a noun.
I seem to be a verb, an evolutionary process an integral function of the universe.
~ Richard Buckminster Fuller

Humans beings always do the most intelligent thing & after they’ve tried every stupid alternative and none of them have worked. ~ Richard Buckminster Fuller

Everyone is born a genius,
but the process of living de-geniuses them.
~ Richard Buckminster Fuller

Never forget that you are one of a kind.
Never forget that if there weren’t any need for you in all your uniqueness to be on this earth, you wouldn’t be here in the first place.
And never forget, no matter how overwhelming life’s challenges and problems seem to be,
that one person can make a difference in the world.
In fact, it is always because of one person that all the changes that matter in the world come about.
So be that one person.

~ Richard Buckminster Fuller

I’m not a genius. I’m just a tremendous bundle of experience.
~ Richard Buckminster Fuller

I am enthusiastic over humanity’s extraordinary and sometimes very timely ingenuity.
If you are in a shipwreck and all the boats are gone,
a piano top buoyant enough to keep you afloat
that comes along makes a fortuitous life preserver.
But this is not to say that the best way to design a life preserver is in the form of a piano top.
I think that we are clinging to a great many piano tops
in accepting yesterday’s fortuitous contrivings
as constituting the only means for solving a given problem.
~ Richard Buckminster Fuller

I am convinced that creativity
is a priority to the integrity of the universe,
and that life is regenerative,
and conformity meaningless.
~ Richard Buckminster Fuller

Geniuses are just people who had good mothers.
~ Richard Buckminster Fuller

If humanity does not opt for integrity
we are through completely.
It is absolutely touch and go.
Each one of us could make the difference.
~ Richard Buckminster Fuller

If you want to teach people a new way of thinking,
don’t bother trying to teach them.
Instead, give them a tool,
the use of which will lead to new ways of thinking.
~ Richard Buckminster Fuller

When I was born, humanity was 95 per cent illiterate.
Since I’ve been born, the population has doubled
and that total population is now 65 per cent literate.
That’s a gain of 130-fold of the literacy.
When humanity is primarily illiterate,
it needs leaders to understand and
get the information and deal with it.
When we are at the point where
the majority of humans them-selves are literate,
able to get the information,
we’re in an entirely new relationship to Universe.
We are at the point where
the integrity of the individual counts
and not what the political leadership
or the religious leadership says to do.
~Richard Buckminster Fuller,

I just invent.
Then I wait until man comes around
to needing what I’ve invented.
~ Richard Buckminster Fuller

Dear reader,
traditional human power structures and
their reign of darkness are about to be rendered obsolete.
It is essential that anyone reading this book
know at the outset that the author is apolitical.
I was convinced in 1927 that
humanity’s most fundamental survival problems
could never be solved by politics.

Iran’s President on Nuclear Issue:
‘Problem Won’t Be from Our Side’

From – September 19, 2013

Iran’s new president has said his country will never attempt to develop nuclear weapons and that, two months after being elected, he has the stature to make a deal with Western leaders regarding Iran’s atomic program.

President Hassan Rouhani told NBC News on Wednesday that Iran has stated multiple times that “under no circumstances would we seek any weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear weapons, nor will we ever.”

“In its nuclear program this government enters with full power and has complete authority,” he said. “The problem won’t be from our side. We have sufficient political latitude to solve this problem.”

Since succeeding the polarizing Mahmoud Ahmadinejad this summer, Rouhani indicated a reluctant willingness to meet and negotiate with US leaders. He told NBC that he traded letters with US President Obama in which the two discussed “some issues” after decades of political hostility between the two nations.

“From my point of view, the tone of the letter was positive and constructive,” Rouhani said of a congratulatory note from Washington after the election. “It could be subtle and tiny steps for a very important future. I believe the leaders in all countries could think in their national interest and they should not be under the influence of pressure groups. I hope to witness such an atmosphere in the future.”

*Iran releases political prisoners*

(*for more detail see separate story below*)

Rouhani also ordered the release of Nasrin Sotoudeh, an Iranian human rights lawyer, and a number of other political prisoners on the eve of a visit to the United Nations. Sotoudeh was in the midst of a six-year prison sentence for allegedly endangering national security and misusing her duties as a lawyer. Obama specifically mentioned her case during his annual message to Iran in 2011, saying she had been jailed “for defending human rights.”

Several journalists were also freed, although dozens remain imprisoned for their roles in a 2009 anti-government protest. “Psychologically, my condition is very good but my experience – with all the psychological pressure, the tense security atmosphere, and not have access to make phone calls – was very tough,” she told AFP following her release.

Whether the White House will be receptive to Rouhani’s gestures remains to be seen. “We should hear him out but see what the actual deal is on the nuclear dossier and Iranian support on Syria. We will judge Iran on its actions, not just its words,” a diplomatic source told The Telegraph.

*‘We consider war a weakness’* Rouhani was also questioned on his stance regarding a possible military strike against Syria, a close ally to Iran. “We are not the government of Syria,” he told NBC. “We are one of the countries of this region which is asking for peace and stability and the elimination of all weapons of mass destruction in the entire region.”

Rouhani did not explicitly voice his support for Syrian President Bashar Assad. However, he did respond when asked whether he viewed Obama’s decision to back away from an air strike as a sign of weakness. “We consider war a weakness,” he said. “Any government or administration that decides to wage a war, we consider a weakness. And any government that decides on peace, we look on it with respect to peace.”

{The fuller article continues below ~}

Peace for Middle East?

In a change of tone to his predecessor, Rouhani took a softer line on Israel, stressing that Iran wanted peace for the Middle East. However, when asked over Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements that he was “a wolf in sheep’s clothing,” he answered that Israel “shouldn’t allow itself to give speeches about a democratically and freely-elected government.”

Rouhani also sidestepped questioning over the Holocaust which his predecessor had claimed was a “myth.”

“I’m not a historian. I’m a politician,” he replied. “What is important for us is that the countries of the region and the people grow closer to each other, and that they are able to prevent aggression and injustice.”

President Hassan Rouhani has sought to emphasize his position as a moderate since his June election, looking to open dialogue with the US over Iran’s alleged nuclear program. Previous President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had become notorious for his controversial speeches, threatening to wipe Israel from the map and calling the Holocaust “ambiguous and dubious.”

LOVE! from Anonymous

Aloha to You!  A warm welcome and appreciation is extended to You for joining with us in this moment of sharing.

As mentioned in the last blog, much of the material I use comes from the Wisdom of all types of sages and “Masters”, etc …people like You and I, and our Children, GrandChildren, Parents, GrandParents, the guy at the market, the girl at the shop, as well and those of local and world acclaim, both real and imaginary.

And All of our blogs and Guides are written with LOVE Energy being the Foundational Energy of All of Creation.
I call it “THE LOVE”.

It’s the message that is important not who the Author is.  So, the body of today’s expansion of LOVE comes from a “Master” who will, for the moment, remain anonymous due to possible cultural, religious, spiritual and perhaps political biases.  As the Sun shines and Nature rains on Every One, so does THE LOVE.

We ask You to Imagine this message coming to YOU as advice from the person YOU most revere with LOVE, who demonstrates LOVE the most, in your Life’s Journey, present day, in history and in herstory  …to be politically correct. ;>)  .
{Emphasis by L’iv.}

“LOVE! It is the summary of the {Universl} Law , and my only Message. Such a short word, yet it takes the experiences of whole lifetimes richly lived to invest it with substantial, intelligible meaning, It was my wish – and my effort – to approach all of life’s problems and situations in an attitude of love toward the self and all others involved, and to follow love’s promptings in all circumstances. I missed on some occasions, as we all do, but I tried. All other commandments, codes, customs and laws are but man-made restraints upon the immature – social habits to be followed until one has found freedom in the law of loving.

Love should be free. Let love invent its own creative forms of expression. I was free of the Law to be fully me.{Name withheld.}  So was Francis of Assisi. Two among many Americans folk-heroes whose lives were weird but wonderful expressions of love, were Johnny Appleseed (who planted trees that bore good fruit for Indians and white settlers alike and Peace Pilgrim (who walked her thousands of miles, without plans or funds, trusting in God only, to demonstrate peace through love. Their actual names are forgotten, but their lives are enshrined in the nickname which their love earned. Yet neither they not I should be copied slavishly. Let your love show you your gifts and the way You should go.

“But how do you get turned onto love? How does one learn to love love – to desire to be loving? Even those who admit its importance have difficulty here. You can’t think about it and pray for it without having some idea of what it is. You just can’t learn to love in a vacuum. There are so many things -particularly early in life – to fear and get angry with. Even after you learn to love everyone, in the sense of recognizing the divinity in them and wishing them well, there remain many who you don’t enjoy, don’t like, don’t wish to be around. This is inevitable, and nothing to feel guilty about. But learning to love is difficult.”   ~ Anonymous for now.

The Author goes on to tell the story of what worked for her/him in answer to the questions above.

We leave You with these questions for You to determine for YOUR Self, YOUR Journey in YOUR Life!

Allow me to give You 1 of the FUNdamental Steps in Unconditional LOVE.

“Pure love is a willingness to give without a thought of receiving anything in return.”

“The way of peace is the way of love. Love is the greatest power on earth. It conquers all things.”

Welcome!  It’s nice to have You join us in the interchange of
Unconditioned Love.  Are You holding that Energy strongly yet?

All of our blogs and Guides are written with LOVE Energy being the Foundational Element of All Of Creation.
I call it “THE LOVE”.

Much of the material I use comes from the Wisdom of all types of sages and “Masters”, etc …people like You and I, and our Children, GrandChildren, Parents, GrandParents, the guy at the market, the girl at the shop, as well and those of local and world acclaim, both real and imaginary.

So today, I begin with the words attributed to PETER PAN…

I would like to take that up a notch to
Let’s take a look at this.

To some this may seem to be the same. However, being the Frequency Scientist that I am, allow me to delve into the energetic frequency of words and that energetic movement in the Quantum and finer Fields.

As I meet people repeatedly, they often make a statement like…  “You’re so happy all the time.”

Most often, I quickly respond with “I am not Happy at all.”

This sets them aback a moment til I go on to explain:   “Happiness is an emotion. Emotions come and go, rise and fall.  I am in JOY!  Joy is a state of BEing. When You are in a state, it is consistent and long lasting.    …and if You are into that state “deep enough” …at a strong enough vibrational frequency, You NEVER leave it!”

Some smile and walk away, shaking their heads, perhaps thinking “weirdo!”.  ; >)

Others pause, then smile and say from their Heart, “Thank You.”

Another thing people ask me is: “What do You think about…”  or  “Do You think…?”

Again, I most often offer a quick reply:  “I do my best not to think at all!”

And as they begin to assess that statement, I follow with: “Thinking is a function of the brain.  I do my best to ‘Feel’ rather than think.  Feeling comes from the Heart.”

I usually stop there as it brings a similar outcome as above.

But on occasion, I add  “…and the seed of the Heart is Love”

And that’s the basics in Attitude differences among
Some work with what comes from their brain
and others work with what comes form their Heart.

What shows up often from the brain thinkers is generally some kind of an analysis   …which often results in frequency levels like confusion, worry, depression, and /or fear.   …which can escalate to things like upset, anger, hate and violence.
{For more on this, please read the “Pocket Guide” ~ “Could You Be Squander The  Magic Of LOVE?  …A How, A Why, and a Solution”.}

What shows up from the Heart feelers is some frequency of the Energy of Love  …which ALWAYS results in “higher” vibrating frequency levels …like Joy, or Compassion, or Appreciation, or Gratitude, or Beauty, even Bliss.

We are blest that in today’s world of reality, “quantum” science and even finer levels science are able to document these phenomenon, in and out of the laboratory.

But in our every day world, there is no need to rely on science for this, going into THE LOVE Energy within the quiet space of the Heart gives us stuff like confirmation, direction and, in quiet listening moments, perhaps answers and solutions.    …and always Peace.

I have a favorite quote thru Ester Hicks:

“Find thoughts that feel good, because it is inevitable that you are going to always be moving toward something. So why not be moving toward something that is pleasing? You can’t cease to vibrate, and Law of Attraction {a Universal Law…”like attracts like”} will not stop responding to the vibration that you are offering. So, expansion is inevitable. You provide it, whether you know you do, or not. The only question is, what is the standard of joy that you are demanding for yourself?
From your Non-physical perspective, it’s a high, high standard.”

Fairey Dust comes thru our Imagining(s).
Thinking comes thru our brains.
Feeling comes thru our Hearts’ Love Energy.

We can fly with a sprinkling from our brain Imagining(s)  and thinking a Happy thought

We can fly even higher with a sprinkling from our Heart Imagining(s) and feeling THE LOVE in our Hearts.

Which do You choose?   For me, I choose THE LOVE, of course!

Love Always, Love Now, Only Here, Only Now, Only Here.
{…meaning Be Present with THE LOVE in this Eternal Moment
…Always Unceasing and Unconditioned.}

Have a Joyous Journey!
…and Prosper!!!
